Ipswich Town's first win under Paul Lambert wasn't enough to lift them off the bottom of the table, but they did close the gap on 23rd-placed Bolton Wanderers to four points.

Apart from Ipswich, nobody else in the bottom five at the start of the day won.

This one's for you, Leeds United fans. Marcelo Bielsa's side are top of the Championship table after beating Bolton Wanderers earlier.

There's not been a huge amount of movement in the play-off spots, with Middlesbrough staying sixth despite losing at Queens Park Rangers.

• Sol Campbell has a first victory as a manager to celebrate - the division's bottom side Macclesfield Town beat Crawley Town 2-0 in a game delayed by floodlight failure.
• Lincoln went top of the table, making the most of the postponed match between leaders MK Dons and Newport County by beating Morecambe 3-1 to lead the league by a point.
• Colchester were thumped 4-0 away against Carlisle, just the sixth league defeat of the season for the Essex side.
• Jon Stead scored twice as Notts County won for just the fourth time in the league this season, a 3-2 success over Tranmere, meaning Rovers slipped out of the play-off spots.

• There was plenty of festive entertainment at The Valley, where Charlton recovered from going down to 10 men inside a minute to beat AFC Wimbledon, who were also then reduced to 10 men.
• Leaders Portsmouth were held to a draw by Barnsley, but there were wins for second-placed Luton Town and third-placed Sunderland.
• At the other end of the table, a rare good day for Bradford City, who climbed off the bottom of the table with a thumping 4-0 win over Walsall.

• Leeds United moved to the top of the Championship table with victory over Bolton Wanderers, Patrick Bamford marking his first appearance since August with the winner. Norwich City dropped to second after drawing with Bristol City in the late game.
• Paul Lambert secured his first win as Ipswich Town manager, the league's bottom club holding on to beat Wigan Athletic
• Promotion hopefuls Middlesbrough continued their mini-wobble, losing 2-1 at Queens Park Rangers, while there were also wins for Preston North End, Hull City and Swansea City.
