    Leicester 0-0 Southampton

Southampton are getting into space down this right side. Another cross is whipped in but doesn't beat the first man. No real chances for either team yet.

  2. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:06 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2019

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Watford

Watford hit the post twice in the same move! They should lead.

Brilliant feet from Gerard Deulofeu to dance into the area, he side-foots a shot against the far post, and then on the follow-up Roberto Pereyra has more or less the whole goal to aim at but instead hits the same post!

It looks like Brighton are trying to pack the midfield so Salah and Mane do not have room in pockets. Glenn Murray is up top and isolated making it hard for him to pick a centre-back like Fabinho and play off of him.

As expected, it's Liverpool with all the possession early-on. Virgil van Dijk surprising misplaces a pass but the visitors quickly win the ball back.

Meanwhile, James Milner is still doing a thorough warm-up and Liverpool are avoiding passing it out wide to Trent Alexander-Arnold.

    Andre Schurrle (2 mins)

    Oh hello!

Fulham are not goners just yet! And in fact they lead, on the road. And it's a brilliant goal too.

Just a long ball forwards from the back, Andre Schurrle takes it down at full extension, almost Berbatov-esque, and then crashes a shot on the bounce over Tom Heaton and in, off the bar too.

    Wonderful goal!

    Leicester 0-0 Southampton

Yan Valery crunches into Ben Chilwell and wins the ball to earn Southampton a throw-in near the right corner. It's a painful one for Chilwell!

The ball is then fired across the face of the goal but Kasper Schmeichel can collect under no pressure.

It's amazing what a touch of momentum can do in the Premier League. After back-to-back defeats in early December, Crystal Palace were nervously looking over their shoulder.

Three wins from five and only one defeat later, they have a six-point cushion above the relegation zone. Their hard work isn't complete though. Their results have been built on a solid defensive foundation but their lack of goals is still a concern. Incredibly, they've scored in only three of their 10 league games at Selhurst Park this season.

Watford needed to improve away from Vicarage Road and they have done - if they avoid defeat they'll at least match their points total on the road from all of last season.

Worrying news Liverpool fans. Trent Alexander-Arnold has gone over his ankle in the warm-up and Jurgen Klopp has had a word with him. James Milner is staying out to warm-up longer and is being spoken to by the coaches. Looks like he's going to be starting at right-back.
