  1. 'Liverpool going sideways'published at 15:33 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2019

    Brighton 0-0 Liverpool

    Nigel Reo-Coker
Former West Ham midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

It is a great atmosphere here. The fans deserve a bit more goalmouth action! Brighton have done well enough tactically with their game plan but they need to push on and try and win this game.

They need to take the game to Liverpool, they are the home team. Liverpool aren't making enough forward passes it's going sideways or backwards.

  2. Postpublished at 15:32 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2019

    Brighton 0-0 Liverpool

Solly March tries to switch play over to the left but his pass is too high for Jurgen Locadia. Liverpool look a bit pedestrian. Roberto Firmino decides enough is enough and charges down Brighton's defence, putting them under pressure, before his third deflection is penalised for handball. An injection of pace from Firmino though. And Klopp likes it.

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:31 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2019

    Cardiff 0-0 Huddersfield

Good chance now for the Terriers - make that two! Steve Mounie does well to get anything on a volley, he's under a lot of pressure so it's not a clean strike but he still forces Neil Etheridge into a save. Then from the corner Elias Kachunga nods over the top.

  6. CLOSE!published at 15:30 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2019

    Burnley 2-1 Fulham

Another good chance for Fulham - this game is the thriller you perhaps didn't expect! Neither side are able to defend as Ryan Sessegnon has a free header but blazes it over.

  7. CLOSE!published at 15:29 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2019

    Leicester 0-1 Southampton

James Ward-Prowse' corner is met by Jack Stephens in the centre of the box but his header is palmed away by Kasper Schmeichel. Looked a more comfortable save than Schmeichel made it look though!

Denis Ethan: I have observed lately fifty fifty decisions are always going Liverpool's way

Khan Karn: Here’s the thing with penalty decisions, you're not allowed to pull/hold down a players arm and its a foul anywhere else yet in penalty areas its ok, how?

Paul Walmsley: Liverpool look tired. Not a lot of tempo or movement; got to hope that's Klopp's plan for the first half and then turn it up later in the game, otherwise they're never breaking down this Brighton side.

    Cardiff 0-0 Huddersfield

Still nervy in south Wales. Huddersfield are being Huddersfield - they look neat and tidy for two thirds of the pitch but where are the goals coming from?

  10. CLOSE!published at 15:27 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2019

    Brighton 0-0 Liverpool

Trent Alexander-Arnold finds space on the right and his run isn't tracked. He cuts inside and picks out Xherdan Shaqiri but his header skims inches wide of the keeper's right post.

It's a great run from Jeff Hendrick again, he gets across the line of defenders, across the six-yard box and hopes one of his pals is there on the end of the cross.

The defender Denis Odoi is there and he panics.

  12. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:26 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2019

    Burnley 2-1 Fulham

If ever two goals summed up a club's season - shambles at the back from Fulham. But then they hit the crossbar straight away as Calum Chambers heads against the woodwork!

    Leicester 0-1 Southampton

Yan Valery drives at Ben Chilwell on the right side of the box and appears to throw himself on the floor under minimal contact. Leicester fans are furious and want a yellow card shown for simulation.

Southampton are still on top though and frustrations are growing at the King Power.

Trent Alexander-Arnold's lofty cross is headed forward by Roberto Firmino, into Mohamed Salah's path. Gaetan Bong uses his body to shepherd it out of play but Liverpool are awarded a corner. Did he get a touch?

    Two own goals!

That's incredible, two own goals in three minutes! Nothing Sergio Rico can do about this in the Fulham goal.

Again it's Jeff Hendrick providing the ammo, he spins inside the area and puts a cross right across the goalmouth, Denis Odoi stretches out and plants a header into the far corner.

It had been coming! Burnley are level.

A good cross from the left sees James Tarkowski go down in the middle, looks like a good penalty shout but that doesn't matter as Jeff Hendrick's shot from the right cannons in off Joe Bryan's knee.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:20 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2019

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Watford

Strange one this as Watford midfielder Will Hughes is arguing with his own physio. He even gives him a bit of a shove in the chest.

I can only assume they disagree over whether Hughes can continue - and yes, exactly that. Hughes storms into the dugout, Ken Sema comes on.

  20. Postpublished at 15:19 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2019

    Brighton 0-0 Liverpool

Xherdan Shaqiri's swinging free-kick is headed away by Dale Stephens. Brighton try to counter but the ball goes out of play on the left touchline and the throw-in goes Liverpool's way, much to the frustration of the home supporters.
