  2. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2019

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Watford

Huge appeal from the Palace players as Luka Milivojevic has a shot charged down by Adrian Mariappa - handball?

    Referee says no!

  3. 'Liverpool there for the taking'published at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2019

    Brighton 0-0 Liverpool

    Nigel Reo-Coker
Former West Ham midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

That was the first bit of really positive play with belief from Brighton and it caused Liverpool problems. Fabinho wasn't confident in his clearance, Liverpool are there for the taking. Robertson is the only bright spark who is really trying to take the game to Brighton.

Shane Daly: Liverpool will win this game but they look sluggish. It's almost squeaky bum time & teams who are sluggish will not make it to the end. Also Champions League coming soon this could be a distrust three weeks for Liverpool. Why am I typing this in the voice of John Motson?

Storm Jarvis May: Is today just the day of the own Goal or something?

Uncle Michael: I'm a Newcastle fan but I hope Liverpool find a win today and go on to win the league. Their fans are as loyal and as passionate as they come, and they deserve a Premier League title after waiting for so long.

  5. SUBSTITUTION - Hennessey onpublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2019

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Watford

It's been a strange old afternoon. If it's not raining own goals it's a keeper coming on who has had to deny making a Nazi salute.

Wayne Hennessey is on after Vicente Guaita hurt himself catching a cross. He' s booed by the away fans.

    BIG goal.

Proper old school. A ball over the top catches out the Leicester defence. Nampalys Mendy doesn't deal with it and Shane Long is allowed to run into the box and place it past Kasper Schmeichel.

    Lovely finish, calamitous defending.

  8. RED CARD - Yan Valery (Southampton)published at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2019

    Leicester 0-1 Southampton

    Game changer.

Yan Valery gets a second yellow card for a tug on Marc Albrighton. No disputes there.

I've never seen a ball ping-pong around so much in a penalty area.

    Terrible defending.

The last time Tom and I did a live text, his games weren't producing any goals and I had four in six minutes at one point. Now I've got the boring ones and he's getting all the own goals!

    Brighton 0-0 Liverpool

Liverpool are top of the table but won't be top of the Match of the Day running list unless anything changes at the Amex.

Andy Robertson tries to do something about it with a darting run down the left but he's clipped outside the box and the referee waves play on. Brighton counter but Jurgen Locadia is offside despite beating Fabinho to the ball.

GOAL - Crystal Palace 1-0 Watfordpublished at 15:39 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2019

    Craig Cathcart (OG 38 mins)

I am genuinely lost for words to describe this goal! It's my favourite goal of the season by far!

Crystal Palace have a corner which is whipped in, al lhell breaks loose inside the six-yard ox, the ball pinballs around and eventually is smashed into the knees of Craig Cathcart by Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Ben Foster does his best to claw it out but it's over the line, and the fun still hasn't stopped a the next clearance then hits a Palace player in the face and sends it into the back of the net for good measure.

    Farce!

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Watford

Good chance for Troy Deeney - and one you'd back him to take to be honest. Good old-fashioned centre-forward play at the back post as he clambers above a defender but can only nod Roberto Pereyra's cross wide.

Ben Chilwell and Yan Valery have had a few run-ins. This time Valery reacts to Chilwell pulling him back and a tussle breaks out. Referee Michael Oliver calms things down and shows them both a yellow card.

Leicester get back on with things and Wes Morgan's low header is saved off the line by the leg of Jan Bednarek.

Steve Adams: If conceding 2 own goals in 3 minutes after going ahead with a wonder-goal in the 2nd minute isn't the most Fulhamish thing I've ever seen then I don't know what is.

Rob: Newcastle will be bottom 3 by end of the day. Need Rafa OUT and Moyes IN - sharpish! If not, I fear our goose is COOKED!

Steve: Pedestrian at The Amex....Hook Hendo and bring on Keita... No need to wait until half time. Let's get moving!

  18. Postpublished at 15:35 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2019

Zanka is a lucky boy, the Huddersfield defender clears out Victor Camarasa with a shove/strike in the ribs. Could have been shown a card there.

All a bit quiet at Selhurst Park. The nearest we've come in recent times is a wild shot over the bar by Cheikhou Kouyate.
