I'll be honest I didn't get what we were doing appointing a caretaker manager... but what a great decision so far!! Does Ed Woodward get the credit for this one?! He was due a good appointment at some point...

Jury still out for me when it comes to Rashford, and it will remain so until he finishes the routine chances more clinically. Does the difficult things well, but far too often fails to put away straightforward chances. I still need convincing.

Mo Salah (46 mins)
That didn't take long! Liverpool are roared out from the tunnel for the restart and score with their first attack. There's a large portion of luck as Virgil van Dijk's shot from a mile out hits a Palace defender on the back, spins up into the sky and Mo Salah, onside, is able to just turn it beyond Julian Speroni and in.

Michael: OGS has been working with Rashford on his composure in front of goal. The result has been instant and dramatic
Paul: Salah could literally get beaten and all those armchair pundits out there would still say he goes down 'soft'. Sure, it probably wasn't a penalty, but he wasn't claiming a foul, was he? If he'd rolled around like Neymar then you can complain.
And we're back under way for the second 45 minutes.
Liverpool 0-1 Crystal Palace
Garth - and a lot of you out there - are not happy after Mo Salah went down in the area during that first half.
No penalty was given...

HT: Liverpool 0-1 Crystal Palace
Pat Nevin
Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 live
Liverpool are playing well, moving the ball well, but the final ball hasn't been brilliant and they haven't looked as fluent going forward. The movement from the four up front isn't right. I think Klopp will be tempted to bring Shaqiri on, he sprinted up the touchline at the end there, I expect he has plenty to say.
Man Utd 2-0 Brighton

Former Republic of Ireland winger on Final Score
The angle opened up for Marcus Rashford and he just bent it into the corner.
It's absolutely world class. What a goal that was.
Newcastle's lead means that Huddersfield and Fulham are looking a long way from safety...

Ian Shepherd: I'll say it time and time again. Rashford is the real deal. He's the England equivalent to Mbappe. Put him up top and he'll score goals. Frightens teams with his pace and touch.
Here's how the top looks with Liverpool losing at half-time. And what's that about Manchester United reaching the top four...?
Man Utd 2-0 Brighton
Seven out of seven?
Man Utd's two in-form men - Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford - have them comfortable.
Newcastle 1-0 Cardiff
Newcastle deservedly lead and are out of the relegation zone as it stands.
Southampton 0-0 Everton
Liverpool 0-1 Crystal Palace
Well then...
Burnley 0-0 Watford
Watford 0-0 Burnley
What a save that is! Troy Deeney thinks he's scored as he meets a cross from the right with a perfect connection, clean as you like. Tom Heaton reacts brilliantly though, away to his left to push it clear!
Bournemouth 0-0 West Ham
That's the end of a low-key first half.
Bournemouth 0-0 West Ham
Declan Rice might be getting ahead of himself after his first West Ham goal last week against Arsenal. He has a pop from miles out and it flies way, way, way over the bar.
Still no shots on target.
