    Liverpool 0-0 Crystal Palace

Close again! Virgil van Dijk this time rising like a salmon to head on goal, emerging between three Palace defenders and it's deflected away for a corner.

  2. 'Definite penalty'published at 15:31 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Man Utd 1-0 Brighton

    Kevin Kilbane
Former Republic of Ireland winger on Final Score

It was a brilliant first touch from Paul Pogba to create the problem. Gaeten Bong is always reaching for it and it's a penalty, it's a definite foul.

    Watford 0-0 Burnley

No goals, but it's not dull at the Vic. Both sides look a handful when they attack and now Ben Foster has to make a double save to keep out Ashley Barnes, who is the very definition of being a handful...

    Bournemouth 0-0 West Ham

West Ham are improving a little bit at the Vitality without really causing a problem. We haven't had a shot on target yet from their team.

  5. CLOSE!published at 15:30 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Liverpool 0-0 Crystal Palace

If Liverpool can stay composed you feel that an opening goal can't be far away, James Milner is free every time down the right but he hasn't been able to find the right pass just yet.

He does win a corner, which Joel Matip heads wide.

  6. 'A lovely goal'published at 15:28 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Newcastle 1-0 Cardiff

    Kevin Kilbane
Former Republic of Ireland winger on Final Score

You can look at it from the side that it's bad defending from Cardiff, but it's how Fabian Schar opens his feet up - he doesn't try to go for power he just directs it into the corner and it's a lovely goal.

  7. goal

GOAL - Man Utd 1-0 Brightonpublished at 15:27 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Paul Pogba

There weren't as many steps as normal there in Paul Pogba's run up but still a few. Regardless the penalty is perfect. David Button goes the right way but doesn't get close. Pogba's penalty finds the right side of the net. That's the Frenchman's eighth goal of the season.

  8. Postpublished at 15:27 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Southampton 0-0 Everton

Another good effort from the pest Danny Ings, his pace gets him in between two defenders and he hits the shot early, it's straight at Jordan Pickford and the England man is able to punch it clear.

  9. PENALTY TO MAN UTDpublished at 15:26 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Man Utd 0-0 Brighton

Gaetan Bong on Paul Pogba. There's just enough contact to send the Frenchman over.

Pogba is going to take the spot-kick...

Colin: Jordan Henderson has played more forward passes in the first 20 minutes than he has all season. Just goes to show he can be positive when the mood strikes him

Paul: Between Matic and Jones I don’t think either player can complete a forward pass, backward? Yes. Sideways? Maybe. Forward? Not a chance

  11. Postpublished at 15:24 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Liverpool 0-0 Crystal Palace

A first Palace attack! No nosebleeds luckily but a cross from the right is only nodded wide by Jordan Ayew.

  12. goal

GOAL - Newcastle 1-0 Cardiffpublished at 15:24 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Fabian Schar

A big, big, goal. And it's a really good goal too.

Fabian Schar collects the ball 40 yards out out on the right touchline. No one really closes him down and the defender thinks 'why not?'. He drives on through midfield and then into the penalty box before tucking away a finish into the bottom corner.

    Newcastle lead.

  13. 'Get the ball to Zaha'published at 15:24 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Liverpool 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Pat Nevin
Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 live

There have been 20 minutes since Crystal Palace have been this far up the field! They will expect that, but need to make some capital when they get here, and get the ball up to Zaha

  14. CLOSE!published at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Man Utd 0-0 Brighton

Man United come close three minutes in a couple of minutes. The best chance is the first, falling to Marcus Rashford. He tries to finish from eight yards after a cut-back from the right but the ball smashes into a blue and white shirt.

  15. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 15:22 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Bournemouth 0-0 West Ham

Almost a first goal of these 3pm games.

Bournemouth's Ryan Fraser crosses deep from the left-hand side. His delivery hangs in the air before being turned in by Nathan Ake at the back post. The offside flag goes up however because Callum Wilson also challenges for the ball after being in an offside position when the ball was played in. Wilson was definitely interfering with play.

  16. Postpublished at 15:22 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Liverpool 0-0 Crystal Palace

Liverpool still continue to probe away, Mo Salah gets into the area but James Milner's cross is too high for everyone before Sadio Mane heads straight at Julian Speroni.

I don't think we'll get anything today. A second relegation in three years for Benitez. He needs to go and be replaced by someone who's used to this end of the table. Big Sam please.

  18. Postpublished at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Southampton 0-0 Everton

Lovely, lovely bit of play from Everton. Gylfi Sigurdsson and Bernard link up on the edge of the box, Ademola Lookman hits the first-time shot but it's well charged down by Jan Bednarek. Fine passing and movement though.

  19. Crystal Palace playing narrowpublished at 15:20 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Liverpool 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Pat Nevin
Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 live

They don't mind being narrow because they know Liverpool have to go through that area eventually to get to the goal. Andros Townsend will have an awful lot of work almost as a right-back when Wan-Bissaka tucks in

  20. Postpublished at 15:20 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Watford 0-0 Burnley

Much better from Burnley in the last few minutes, a concerted spell of pressure and Ben Mee had a volley at the far post but he couldn't find his inner Van Persie and shanked it across goal.
