  1. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 81 mins

    Man City 3-1 Arsenal

Standing ovation as Sergio Aguero comes off for Manchester City. A masterclass in finishing. Gabriel Jesus is on.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 80 mins

    Man City 3-1 Arsenal

Arsenal make their final change. Shkodran Mustafi, who picked up a knock to the head a few minutes ago, is replaced by Konstantinos Mavropanos.

Probably unprofessional to say but I hope the sub doesn't do much in the final 10 minutes so I don't have to type that name out again.

    Man City 3-1 Arsenal

Kevin de Bruyne's free-kick is blocked to Sergio Aguero, who takes a first-time shot. It's deflected and Bernd Leno parries. That's the first shot Aguero hasn't scored today.

I'm not sure how much of this will be left in the MOTD2 edit tonight but Jonathan Pearce isn't impressed by Leno's parrying/punching. "David Seaman would have caught it. Petr Cech would have caught it. Bob Wilson would ave caught it."

    Man City 3-1 Arsenal

Arsenal's body language isn't great. I think they'd take this scoreline now. Aaron Ramsey pulls back Sergio Aguero for a free-kick.

    Man City 3-1 Arsenal

Sergio Aguero is holding his face, not sure if he got a whack. When's he going to get rid of that hair bleach?

Paul Bennett: Aguero scores the perfect hat-trick - one header, one right foot and one left...arm..

Neil Moriarty: Clear handball by Aguero, the Premier League has stooped to a new low.

Montymadman: Well maybe the elbow goal decision evens out the stonewall pen not given in the third minute! It all evens out as someone once said.

Thoughts on City's third goal, accidental or against the law?

Denis Suarez scored two goals in 31 La Liga appearances for Sevilla under Unai Emery in 2014-15.

He was a Man City player from 2011 to 2013, and made two League Cup appearances.

    Man City 3-1 Arsenal

There are more goals in this game for City if they want them. Kevin de Bruyne's overhit cross reaches Raheem Sterling and City take the ball back to midfield to start again.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 67 mins

    Man City 3-1 Arsenal

Arsenal make a double change. Denis Suarez makes his debut, with future Juventus legend (maybe) Aaron Ramsey on. Sead Kolasinac and Alex Iwobi are off.

City are cutting Arsenal apart, Raheem Sterling has a chance to put Sergio Aguero in but his pass is really poor.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 65 mins

    Man City 3-1 Arsenal

City's Ilkay Gundogan is booked for diving. Bit harsh, he was bumped off the ball.

Next year of course we'll have VAR in the Premier League. And there's talk of changing the handball rules to penalise more offences.

    Man City 3-1 Arsenal

    Gary Flintoff
BBC Radio 5 live reporter at Etihad Stadium

Matteo Guendouzi was the Arsenal player leading the protests. He was one of the players closest to Sergio Aguero when he scored. He sprinted over to referee Martin Atkinson screaming “handball”, but the goal had already been given.

    Man City 3-1 Arsenal

Sergio Aguero's hat-trick is his 10th in the Premier League. Only Alan Shearer (11) has more.

He's scored with all three shots today. Aguero, not Shearer.

    Man City 3-1 Arsenal

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Newcastle and England winger on BBC Radio 5 live

Brilliant from Raheem Sterling again on the delivery. It hit Aguero's elbow but it's definitely gone over the line. Nobody could get there but I can understand Arsenal's frustration with the way it went in.

GOAL - Man City 3-1 Arsenalpublished at 61 mins

    Sergio Aguero hat-trick

Sergio Aguero has a hat-trick and Arsenal aren't happy.

Good play by Raheem Sterling down the left and Bernd Leno gets a touch onto his cross. The ball reaches the sliding Aguero behind him. The ball hits Aguero's arm on the way in but it wasn't intentional.

Leno tries to claw the ball out but it's just past the line. And Ilkay Gundogan slams the rebound home just to be safe.

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Etihad Stadium

Manchester City still have a grip on this game but while the lead is so slender Arsenal will fancy their chances if they can just get big guns Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette into the game.

At the moment, Manchester City are just not giving them that opportunity.

    Man City 2-1 Arsenal

Kevin de Bruyne has become so central to this game. Raheem Stering slips a ball into the Belgian but his effort is straight at Bernd Leno.

Some of City's football has been a joy to watch.
