Ben Mee is down on the deck after landing heavily heading the ball away.

He trudges to the side but is OK to continue.

He's been a titan at the back for Burnley today.

Tom: The decision not to bring in VAR this season has dragged Brighton into the relegation battle. It could be 3-2 Brighton.

That and the one win in 11 will be the reason I think.

Burnley digging in here as Brighton try to put them under pressure.

Anthony Knockaert gets a headed chance from Gaetan Bong's cross but it drifts harmlessly wide.

Tom Heaton, as he's been doing since the break, will take his time with this goal kick.

Scott Redrup: Hey Heatahfajita, probably because Heaton and Pope have had injuries..... Hart was the best move they could have made (other than signing Crouch early and sticking him in goal).

Ian Taylor: So so so unfair football sometimes. I think Brighton have been great but unlucky with their finishing, they should be miles ahead. This ref has a lot to answer for by the way. He has missed 2 clear Brighton pens tut tut.

Ben Peterson: That is extraordinarily bad officiating. Stonewall penalty for Brighton not given leads to penalty for Burnley and a two-goal swing in about 15 seconds.

    Brighton 1-3 Burnley

For what it's worth, I think Brighton had a strong case for a penalty seconds before Burnley got theirs.

Murray lost control in the slippery conditions and it bounced up awkwardly onto Jeff Hendrick who seemed to bat it away with his hand.

Vigorous protests from the Albion players but nothing was given.

    How crucial that could be.

  8. YELLOW CARDSpublished at 78 mins

    Brighton 1-3 Burnley

A couple of yellow cards to catch up on.

Mat Ryan was booked for dragging Barnes down in the penalty incident.

Ashley Westwood picked up a yellow for the foul which led to Brighton's goal.

Maybe we're not all over after all.

Brighton force a free kick midway through the Burnley half. Shane Duffy loses his marker and powers home a header six yards out.

    Game on.

GOAL - Ashley Barnes (pen)published at 75 mins

    Brighton 0-3 Burnley

    Surely game over at Brighton.

Ashley Barnes buried from the spot last weekend and he does exactly the same today.

The former Brighton striker keeps his cool amid fierce Brighton protests and drills it low to Mat Ryan's right.

If I was Chris Wood I'd still be wondering how I didn't complete my hat-trick instead of needing the penalty.

  11. Penalty to Burnleypublished at 73 mins

    Brighton 0-2 Burnley

    Controversy!

Brighton players make a big claim for a penalty when Glenn Murray's miscontrol hits the arm of Jeff Hendrick and then Burnley break free.

Ashley Barnes rounds Mat Ryan who pulls him down. Chris Wood plonks the rebound wide but the referee gives a penalty anyway.

    Brighton 0-2 Burnley

Brighton are in need of a spark. Burnley look compact and well-drilled - the least you'd expect from Sean Dyche's side.

At the moment it doesn't seem Brighton have the guile to open them up and get back into this.

Dan Bell: Brighton look a mess. They are in freefall. Could see them going down now.

Shivam Manghnani: Always knew Chris Wood score today.

Heatahfajita: Burnley would have far more points if they had not signed Joe Hart. I don't know why Dyche signed him when he had 2 of the highest performing keepers last season. Worst signing of the season in my opinion.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 70 minutes

    Brighton 0-2 Burnley

Yves Bissouma and Alireza Jahanbakhsh join the fray in place of Jurgen Locadia and Pascal Groβ who head straight down the tunnel.

Time to check the teamsheet spellings very carefully.

GOAL - Chris Woodpublished at 62 mins

    Brighton 0-2 Burnley

Dwight McNeil breaks free in the centre for Burnley and suddenly the Brighton defence opens up. Chris Wood peels away from his marker, receives McNeil's pass and bends a shot into the far corner.

Mat Ryan gets a hand on it but it's slippery out there and he can't keep it out.

    Silence at the Amex.

    Brighton 0-1 Burnley

Brighton are in charge in this second half but without any reward.

Tom Heaton punches away a Pascal Groβ corner before the ball eventually works its way back to the German midfielder.

He whips in a shot from 12 yards but it soars harmlessly over.

    Brighton 0-1 Burnley

I watched Brighton's game at West Brom on Wednesday night and their pretty approach play came to nothing until Glenn Murray was brought off the bench.

    When he duly scored two.

He's not had a sniff yet today though.

    Brighton 0-1 Burnley

These conditions are horrendous for defences and Brighton look to test out Burnley's with a couple of early second-half corners.

The Clarets though deal with them comfortably and clear the danger.

Solly March lasts under two minutes in this second half. It must be an injury otherwise why didn't they make the change at half time?

He heads off and is replaced by Anthony Knockaert.
