  2. GREAT STRIKE AND GREAT SAVE!published at 40 mins

    Man City 4-0 Chelsea

Gonzalo Higuain hits a dipper from 20 yards that Ederson pushes out for a corner.

It's one that you would expect him to save.

The resulting corner is cleared by the City defence.

Mike Kelcey: Bit unfair of MCFC to start before CFC turn up.

Nicks: Chelsea didn’t lose by 4 goals or more for 20+ years, done that twice in two weeks now. Thank you Sarri.

Farahgraph: Sarri seems to be the hardest word...

I've done that one Farahgraph, but I admire the thought process

Pep Guardiola slumps to his knees with his head in his hands as Aguero misplaces a pass...at 4-0 after 32 minutes.

He is now gesticulating wildly at his players. High standards.

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 29 mins

    Man City 4-0 Chelsea

    A Chelsea chance!

Pedro has a shooting chance inside the area, from Gonzalo Higuain's backheel, but the danger is snuffed out by the alert Ederson.

Could Pedro have dinked the shot over the Brazilian?

    We go again eh Chelsea?

  12. goal

GOAL - Man City 4-0 Chelseapublished at 16:24 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February 2019

    Ilkay Gundogan

    Oh my!

Raheem Sterling probes down the left and finds Sergio Aguero.

Chelsea's Antonio Rudiger does a terrible impression of a top-flight defender trying to clear the box as the ball only travels a few feet to Ilkay Gundogan, whose low shot beats Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The keeper really should have done better there.

It's like City have said 'we are the champions, this is our place, you're not coming here and taking points off us'. They've come out with a very ruthless streak.

I can't believe that. David Luiz heads it away, it doesn't go too far, but then Ross Barkley tries to head it back to his keeper and who's there...Sergio Aguero. Thank you very much. You can't gamble and hope like that.

    Sergio Aguero

    Long-range goals are for softies!

Chelsea...Chelsea...Chelsea, what do you do now?

The game is over isn't it?

The Blues defence twice have chances to clear their area but fail to - the ball arrives at the feet of Sergio Aguero, who scuffs his shot past Kepa Arrizabalaga from eight yards.

    Goal of day!

Prior to that I was in the middle of typing about Eden Hazard's great solo run into the area which finished with a tame shot that was easily saved by Ederson.

    And another goal????

Scoring from a yard is for softies!

That was reckless [in a positive way] from Sergio Aguero.

Oleksandr Zinchenko loses possession but the ball arrives at the feet of his team-mate Sergio Aguero - he smacks a humdinger of a shot from 25 yards that beats the reach of Kepa Arrizabalaga.

    Man City 1-0 Chelsea

    Phil McNulty

Maurizio Sarri will be spitting feathers. Chelsea just switched off at the free-kick - never a great idea when Kevin De Bruyne is standing over the ball.

Etihad Stadium is just recovering from witnessing a real collectors' item as Aguero misses an absolute sitter. The way Manchester City have started there will be another one along in a minute.
