BBC commentator Conor McNamara: "The last penalty Hugo Lloris saved in the Premier League was in April 2014."

Former Fulham midfielder Steve Sidwell: "I've got a feeling that was actually against me!

McNamara: "It was. I've just looked it up. What are the chances?!"

Sidwell: "It was at White Hart Lane, I actually scored earlier in the game. Then the penalty was late on to make it 3-2 but Lloris saved it."

McNamara: "Sorry Steve, I wouldn't have brought that up if I knew you were the man that took it!"

Sometimes that's when you know it's your afternoon. Leicester miss a penalty and Spurs go right down the other end and score.

They got a little bit lucky when the ricochet goes to Llorente but he lays it off to Christian Eriksen and he has one touch, gives the keeper the eyes then whips it in at the near post.

  6. Another Leicester miss!published at 68 mins

    Tottenham 2-0 Leicester

This time the ball is played into the path of Harvey Barnes by Jamie Vardy.

The youngster produces a sidefoot strike which is well saved by the alert Hugo Lloris.

Should Barnes have given him a chance to make the save though?

    Christian Eriksen

    That's so Spursy.

Leicester give the ball away in an area where you don't want to give the ball away.

Fernando Llorente pokes the ball back to the feet of Christian Eriksen, who pulls the trigger from about 20 yards out and finds Kasper Schmeichel's right-hand corner.

    A lovely, lovely strike.

It's a poor penalty. It's at that height where it's easy to parry away.

If I'm honest, I'm not the biggest fan of that. Not that we see it often. James Maddison had the ball and looked ready to take it.

Jamie Vardy is the designated penalty taker but it puts an awful lot of pressure on him to score with his first touch.

  9. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 60 mins

    Tottenham 1-0 Leicester

    Oh dear.

Jamie Vardy jogs towards the penalty area and takes the ball from James Maddison.

He places it on the spot and fires his effort to Hugo Lloris' right - the Frenchman reads his intentions and pushes the strike away.

    Welcome to the match Jamie.

    Fair.

Vardy to come on now, presumably to take the pen...and play the rest of the match.

Big Pete: Barnes, who's clearly not a Premiership level player, is still out there and Vardy remains on the bench. Understandable that Foxes fans get frustrated with Puel.

lfcway: Vardy would have buried the chances Leicester are creating!

Herbert Karima: Would Vardy have put away at least one of the chances Leicester had before Spurs scored? I certainly know where I'd put my money on. I don't see a way back for them now.

  13. That's better from Graypublished at 55 mins

    Tottenham 1-0 Leicester

Ben Chilwell runs to the byeline on the left and then pulls the back for Demarai Gray, who turns and thumps a shot straight at Hugo Lloris.

A lot more conviction in that effort.

It was great build-up play by Leicester and a delightful ball in by Ricardo Pereira. If Demarai Gray's header goes either side of Hugo Lloris that's an equaliser.

    Tottenham 1-0 Leicester

Demarai Gray - playing the role of frontman - hasn't had much of a sniff but he did there.

Ricardo Pereira's dinked delivery to the far post finds the head of the English 22-year-old but he directs his header into the arms of Hugo Lloris.

Straight up at the other end, Spurs have a free-kick on the left about 40 out.

What a start to the second half by Leicester. It shows intent. James Maddison pulled it back but there was no-one there.

For a man who is known for his aerial prowess, that was poor.

Kieran Trippier has jet heels on the right and delivers a decent ball into the area.

Fernando Llorente - all 6ft 4ins of him - is a little bit in front of the ball but still arches his neck to get in a header.

However, it loops harmlessly over the bar.
