Gareth Southgate is not the only international manager at Turf Moor.

Austria boss Franco Foda has made the journey - to watch Burnley's Ashley Barnes.

The Bath-born forward qualifies for Austria through his grandmother.

Imagine Marko Arnautovic and Barnes up front together!

It's pretty quiet inside Turf Moor.

To be fair there's not been an awful lot to get excited about.

It's been a little bit dull - unlike the weather.

Re my post a few minutes ago about Danny Rose.

He is now getting jeered by the Burnley supporters.

    Chance for Harry Kane!

A cross by Moussa Sissoko finds the England man unmarked inside the Burnley penalty area but his header lacks any serious power and Tom Heaton is able to save.

Encouraging for Kane as he feels his way back after injury.

Glorious sunshine and football, living the dream! Hoping for a spurs win, but Burnley's recent form could upset things, even with Kane back. Imagine if Man U win tomorrow too!

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 35 mins

    Burnley 0-0 Tottenham

It isn't really a great save but it is an OK stop - the first of the game - as Tom Heaton gets down to keep out Christian Eriksen.

Burnley respond through Ashley Barnes' sweet first-touch attempt which curls just over the bar.

Sean Dyche is out of his seat applauding that effort.

Danny Rose cuts in from the wing and tries to get round the back of Jeff Hendrick and into Burnley's penalty area but he over-hits it and ball rolls out of play.

That pretty much sums up Spurs so far.

Danny Rose just got flattened by the touchline.

Referee Mike Dean waved play on as Tottenham still had the ball. Rose took a good while getting up, then had a moan at the official, who dismissed his protest completely.

The Burnley fans in the stand loved that. Rose less so.

Hugo Flaxman: If Kane is fit, Kane starts. Only a fool would argue otherwise. One of the best strikers in world football.

Ash Williams: Good to see Harry Kane back. Always shoots when an easy pass is on.

Gareth Southgate is at Turf Moor.

With Tom Heaton, James Tarkowski, Harry Kane, Danny Rose and Harry Winks all on show, the England boss has definitely picked the right moment to visit Turf Moor.

Burnley are snapping into Spurs as you would expect.

The visitors need to win this if they are to keep the pressure on Manchester City and Liverpool but the Clarets are doing a decent job.

Cheers from the crowd as Harry Kane backs into James Tarkowski and Mike Dean awards a free-kick to Burnley.

Re Paul F @12:19 - behind Aurier in the pecking order at the moment. Trippier been caught out of position a lot lately. Aurier was great against Dortmund and has had 10 days without a game, so he starts. Nothing wrong with Trippier going forward, but serge is defending better at the moment.

If I'm honest, this game has yet to really get going.

Lots of decent build-up play by both teams but only one serious attempt - Harry Kane's effort which flew just wide.

Son Heung-Min is getting himself into some decent positions but Ben Mee and James Tarkowski are doing a decent job at the back.

Peter Crouch is on the bench for Burnley.

The former Tottenham man played when the Clarets last won this fixture.

Crouch was in a Spurs side that also contained Luka Modric and Gareth Bale that was beaten 4-2 in May 2010.

Not surprisingly, he is the only person involved that day who is available for either side today.

    Welcome back Harry Kane!

The England man lets fly from inside the 'D' after a dummy run by Son Heung-Min creates an opening but Kane is just a whisker wide.

    Good effort.

No shots on target by either side.

Burnley have started on the front foot although Spurs are bossing possession and are starting to assert themselves.

Jason Moore: Seems like an unnecessary risk to throw Kane in from the start. Spurs have done fantastically without him so surely could ease him back in.

Casper de Wessleow: Hoping Spurs can continue their title push. Would love them to nick it from under the noses of Manchester City and Liverpool.

  20. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 9 mins

    Is Danny Rose serious?

The Spurs player attempts a cross into the Burnley penalty area - it strikes Phil Bardsley close to his arm and Rose wants a penalty.

    No chance.
