  7. First blood Celticpublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2018

    Celtic 1-0 Kilmarnock

    Jonathan Sutherland
BBC Sport Scotland at Celtic Park

Kilmarnock had started the match fairly well. They looked confident and assured and were getting plenty of the ball and up the field. But that now all counts for very little as Celtic take lead. The ball slung into the box and James Forrest makes no mistake from inside the box. An early blow for the league leaders and a goal that seems to have energised the home side and the home support.

Forrest came across the defender and the goalkeeper had no chance. There was no real picking him out. A brilliant goal from James Forrest again

  11. Postpublished at 15:06 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2018

    Aberdeen 0-0 St Johnstone

It is St Johnstone's turn to squander an early chance as Ross Callachan is found unmarked 12 yards from goal, but the midfielder makes a mess of his header and it comes off his shoulder and does not trouble goalkeeper Joe Lewis.

  13. Change of goalkeeper x 2published at 15:04 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2018

    Hamilton 0-0 Hibernian

Not one but two late goalkeeper changes at the Hope Stadium...

Gary Woods now starts in place of Jan Mucha, with Jacob Marsden a late addition to the home bench.

Adam Bogdan has also done himself a mischief in the warm-up, with Ofir Marciano in for his first start of the season for Hibs after a long spell on the sidelines through injury.

I'm not sure the visitors have another goalie in their travelling party.

  14. Postpublished at 15:04 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2018

    Aberdeen 0-0 St Johnstone

An early chance for Aberdeen as the increasingly impressive Max Lowe curls a low cross to the back post.

It reaches Connor McLennan at the back post, but the young forward appears to be taken by surprise and the ball bounces off his shin and into the arms of goalkeeper Zander Clarke.

History is not on the side of Kilmarnock this afternoon.

Yes, they after unbeaten against the champions under the inspired guidance of Steve Clarke.

But Kilmarnock have only managed one league win at Celtic Park in the last 63 years.

That came back in 2012, a 2-0 win during the reign of Kenny Shiels.

  19. Tight affair at Pittodriepublished at 14:58 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2018

    Aberdeen v St Johnstone (15:00)

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at Pittodrie

This afternoon’s Pittodrie showdown definitely falls into the intriguing category.

Sixth-placed Aberdeen can leapfrog fifth-placed St Johnstone with a victory.

The Dons will be in good spirits after their impressive midweek win at Rangers.

But Saints are looking to extend their seven-game unbeaten run and will undoubtedly be boosted by manager Tommy Wright signing a new deal until the Summer of 2022.

The teams drew 1-1 in Perth in September, so don’t be surprised if they contest a similarly tight affair in the Granite City.

  20. Levein sees recent improvement in Heartspublished at 14:55 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2018

    Hearts v Motherwell

After a flying start, Hearts are currently on a run of seven games without a win in all competitions. But manager Craig Levein says he is seeing improved performances of late.

"The last two games have been slightly better," he said. "Our problem has been our lack of ball retention in the final third, earlier in the season were were fantastic at it, and that allowed our midfield players to get in touch and give them confidence going forward."

Levein also reiterated his call for the introduction of VAR in Scottish football to "help" referees "get the right decisions".

He added he would be more than happy to give up some of his playing budget. He told BBC Scotland: "I'm in favour of everybody chipping in if that's the case and we would do that for sure."
