Bristol City v Bolton (19:45 GMT)

    Mark Lawrenson
    Ex-Liverpool defender

Bristol City are going very well in the Championship - 10 unbeaten, and four wins in a row.

With one win from their past 18 games, Bolton aren't.

Bolton are desperate for a cup run to ease their financial problems, but I don't see them getting one.

    Lawro's prediction: 2-0

Bristol City v Bolton (19:45 GMT)

There's another FA Cup tie tonight as well. I asked our resident City fan why this game is being played tonight and he said that Robins manager Lee Johnson likes playing on a Friday night as he feels they can prepare better.

No, I didn't really follow it either.

    • Bolton haven’t reached the FA Cup fifth round since 2011-12 – they haven’t done so outside the top-flight sine 2000-01 under Sam Allardyce.
    • Bristol City haven’t won any of their last three FA Cup fourth round ties, last reaching the fifth round in the 2000-01 season after eliminating Kingstonian.

The FA Cup semi-final replay of 1999 was, for my money, the best cup tie in years and years and years.

    It really did have everything...
