Kyle Walker bombs down the right wing, slides the ball into the arriving Raheem Sterling and Semi Ajayi sticks a leg out and puts it into his own net.

To go into a match of this magnitude without your top scorer is not ideal. and you can see Woking have slightly struggled for a cutting edge.

There will come a time when they need to take a risk and throw men forward... but it's not just yet.

Excellent defending from Barnet. Charlee Adams twice uses his body well to clear any danger. The non league side have a couple of minutes to hold on until half-time.

  4. goal

GOAL - Man City 2-0 Rotherhampublished at 14:44 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January 2019

    Phil Foden (43 mins)

    Forget that last entry.

Phil Foden gets his first ever goal at the Etihad and it's a bit scrappy.

Ilkay Gundogan chips the ball into the youngster, who takes a touch to control it and it bounces up onto his left knee and in.

Jack Tanner: Really odd watching Watford in this green strip of theirs - looks like ten keepers playing outfield.

Kerron Cross: 1-0. Will Hughes, the ginger ninja. An upset is now not on ‘The Cards’.

  11. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 14:38 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January 2019

    Woking 0-1 Watford

Almost a second for Watford. England international Tom Cleverley (remember those days) smashes a free-kick off the cross bar. Woking goalkeeper Craig Ross was beaten.

  12. City on top... but sloppy at the backpublished at 14:38 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January 2019

    Man City 1-0 Rotherham

    Chris Bevan
    BBC Sport at Etihad Stadium

Still lots (and lots) of possession for City but they have been a bit sloppy at the back now on a couple of occasions.

Their latest little escape came when Ederson got caught in possession on his own by-line by Anthony Forde as he dallied on Nicolas Otamendi's back-pass, and he was lucky that John Stones was in the right place to cut out Forde's cross - otherwise Jon Taylor was tapping that into an empty net for a Rotherham equaliser.

It has been a contest. It was a soft goal. That's what will infuriate the manager more than anything - that they've not been opened up, they've conceded an elementary, basic goal.

But Woking have stayed in the game, they haven't chased it. They've had one good opportunity with Gerring's header, and there will be another one that comes along. I've no doubt about that.

    Sheffield Utd 0-1 Barnet

Barnet will be very happy with their day's work so far. They've scored the early goal against Championship Sheffield United and now the game has gone a little flat. The Blades aren't applying too much pressure.

    Millwall 0-0 Hull

Goalmouth scramble at The Den as Hull goalkeeper George Long makes a point blank save from Aiden O'Brien, clawing away the shot and then at the other end Jordan Archer keeps out Todd Kane's effort.

Two minutes later and Tom Elliott's shot is well saved by Long.

End to end stuff after a quiet opening half an hour.

    QPR 1-1 Leeds

Matt Ingram is having a difficult few minutes in the QPR goal. Earlier he fumbled a routine shot which led to the Leeds equaliser and now Tyler Roberts charges down his goal kick. Ingram seemed to take an edge to get rid of the ball at his feet.

In the end, when he did try to kick long, the ball cannoned into Roberts but the ball deflected just wide of the goal.
