  1. goal

GOAL: West Brom 1-1 Nott'm Forestpublished at 21:12 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2019

    Jacob Murphy (54 mins)

My word that has been coming. West Brom growing in confidence, and eventually crash in their equaliser.

It came just minutes after Rekeem Harper had smacked a swerving volley off the bar, and after Forest failed to cope with a cross.

It was like the Chuckle Brothers at the back as the Reds defenders seemed to say 'to me, to you', no one took control, and after the ball broke to Jacob Murphy in the wild scramble, he nailed his shot beyond Costel Pantilimon for the leveller. First Baggies goal.

Game on now perhaps? The Hawthorns is rocking. Relief mostly.

    Hull 2-2 Rotherham

All of a sudden Rotherham are pushing for their first away league victory of the season!

Clark Robertson is proving a menace from set-pieces, twice forcing David Marshall to backtrack and push headers over the bar.

    Can Hull stem the tide?

  3. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:09 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2019

    Birmingham 0-0 Bolton

Birmingham with a crisp move get themselves into position and the ball pops up beautifully for Jota, whose shot is brushed onto the woodwork by Remi Matthews.

So close from the home side, who showed some slick skills there.

  4. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2019

    West Brom 0-1 Nott'm Forest

...from the crowd anyway! Smart move by West Brom gets them in down the Forest left but as Kieran Gibbs sweeps in the cross it is blocked by Saidy Janko in the visitors' box.

Roars of handball from the partisan crowd, but the replay shows it whacked Janko in the back. Kidney-stinger that one.

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2019

    Bristol City 0-1 QPR

Bristol City are banging on the door at Ashton Gate.

Only Joe Lumley's heroics are keeping QPR ahead - the keeper can't know much about Famara Diedhiou's point-blank header but he gets in the way and keeps it out.

    Birmingham 0-0 Bolton

The trouble with sides being in decent form, as Birmingham City have been, is that it sets standards.

After nine goals - and seven points - from three games, Blues fans were clearly expecting more against beleaguered Bolton tonight. But it has so far been heavy going.

One anguished cry of “rubbish” just now from one harassed home fan sums up the frustration.

But, while it has indeed so far not been very good, maybe this stalemate was the end product of not only Bolton coming with a five-man defence, but Blues boss Garry Monk’s need to keep things a little tighter after seeing his side twice ship three goals in their past two games.

  7. goal

GOAL: Oldham 2-1 Yeovilpublished at 21:05 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2019

    Bevis Mugabi (54 mins)

    Yeovil have a lifeline.

Bevis Mugabi scores from close range and Paul Scholes' first game as Oldham boss might not be such an easy ride after all.

  8. Postpublished at 21:04 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2019

    West Brom 0-1 Nott'm Forest

Back underway at the Hawthorns, where more suffocating Forest defence shut down West Brom's initial charge off the kick-off.

The defensive shape is excellent, and Forest are looking to pick the Baggies off on the break.

  9. goal

GOAL: Hull 2-2 Rotherhampublished at 21:04 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2019

    Robbie McKenzie og (55 mins)

We did not see this coming at half-time!

Rotherham have come back from 2-0 down to level and once again sub Jon Taylor is in the thick of things.

He takes the ball down on his chest and half-volleys from 20 yards, his shot taking a cruel deflection off Hull's Robbie McKenzie and going in.

  10. Postpublished at 21:03 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2019

    Birmingham 0-0 Bolton

Bolton with another effort on goal, Josh Magennis spins into space and smashes over the bar, well over the bar.

It's another shot across the bows though from the Trotters.

  11. League One latestpublished at 21:03 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2019

A couple of early second half goals in the third tier to tell you about.

Bottom side AFC Wimbledon lead at Walsall through Steve Seddon, who finally beats keeper Liam Roberts from close range.

Doncaster have doubled their lead against Southend, on-loan Leeds forward Mallik Wilks striking low and hard into the net.

  12. goal

GOAL: Oldham 2-0 Yeovilpublished at 21:02 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2019

    Callum Lang (52 mins)

    Paul ScholesImage source, Rex Features

Things going very well now for Paul Scholes on his managerial debut!

Callum Lang heads home to make it 2-0 to the hosts, who will close the gap to the play-off places to six points if things stay as they are now.

  13. goal

GOAL: Hull 2-1 Rotherhampublished at 20:57 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2019

    Anthony Forde (48 mins)

That is how you make an impact - Paul Warne brought on Jon Taylor for Rotherham at the interval and within minutes he gets down the right and crosses for Anthony Forde to score.

Hull keeper David Marshall won't want to see it again though, he dived to cut out the cross but let it through his hands for Forde to tap in.

    Game on.

  14. Postpublished at 20:56 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2019

    Millwall 0-0 Sheff Wed

My hunch is Steve Bruce had to get into his Sheffield Wednesday players after a lacklustre first half, and - if he did - it's already making a difference.

Lucas Joao shoots from 16 yards, forcing Millwall keeper Jordan Archer to push the ball away from his goal.

  15. Postpublished at 20:56 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2019

    Birmingham 0-0 Bolton

Desperate defence clears the ball as Bolton press... it was a messy scramble which is eventually cleared...

Bolton come forward again, Clayton Donaldson the outlet, his touch off wins a corner. Blues under the pump.

  16. Postpublished at 20:54 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2019

    Birmingham 0-0 Bolton

Chances apiece at the beginning of the half... first Clayton Donaldson gets in down the right for Bolton against his old club, but his cross is gathered by Blues goalkeeper Lee Camp.

From the corresponding boot down field, Che Adams' wonderful touch puts Birmingham into a decent position but a crucial touch takes it away from the onrushing Jota.

Let's hope they keep that up.

  17. Postpublished at 20:54 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2019

    Bristol City 0-1 QPR

Lee Johnson has reversed one of the changes he made for the game, bringing Jay Dasilva on for Lloyd Kelly at full-back.

The Robins were certainly lacking some attacking intent in that first half, as they look to complete a league double over QPR for the first time since the 1976-77 season.

    Oldham 1-0 Yeovil

    Jose MourinhoImage source, Rex Features
    Image caption,

    Are you watching Jose?

Chris Collins: Obviously the first goal of Paul Scholes’ managerial career would be scored by JOSE....

Jose Baxter has given Paul Scholes' Oldham the lead against Yeovil.

Scholes said some less than complimentary things about Jose Mourinho during the Portuguese's spell as Manchester United boss.

  19. Second halfpublished at 20:51 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2019

    #bbcefl

We're up and running again in most of our EFL matches - let's hope for a few more goals in the second half.

Can Bristol City find a way back? Will Paul Scholes see out the win in his first game as a manager?

A reminder that West Brom's game against Nottingham Forest started at 20:00 GMT, so has only just reached half-time.

  20. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:47 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2019

    West Brom 0-1 Nott'm Forest

Frustrating first 45 minutes for West Brom, who thanks to Stefan Johansen's own-goal find themselves a goal down at the half-way stage.

Forest have defended superbly, the epitome of a shut-out. It's defending as a unit in textbook fashion. The goal was beautifully fashioned by Jack Colback and Lewis Grabban, with Ryan Yates' close-range finish touched into his own net by Norwegian Johansen.

West Brom finished the half stronger, but were unable to create anything clear-cut. They're growing in confidence though...
