    Hull 0-0 Rotherham

The first effort of the night in the Championship comes at the KCOM Stadium and it's Rotherham who threaten, with Clark Robertson heading Joe Mattock's free-kick just wide.

The Millers are always a threat from set-pieces. Meanwhile Hull have given centre-back Liam Ridgewell his first start in English football since April 2016.

What kind of manager will Paul Scholes be?

Paul Scholes has his first game in charge of League Two Oldham tonight, welcoming strugglers Yeovil to Boundary Park.

But what kind of boss will the former Manchester United and England midfielder be? He kept a low profile as a player, was outspoken as a pundit and has always had an eye for a pass.

Suit or tracksuit? Will he use the 'hairdryer'? Use #bbcefl to tell us what you think we'll see from him in the dugout, and give our Scholes quiz a try.

  6. World Cup hero Banks dies, aged 81published at 19:41 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2019

Sad news for any football fan today, as it was confirmed that England 1966 World Cup hero Gordon Banks has died, aged 81.

The former Leicester and Stoke custodian was part of Sir Alf Ramsey's team which saw off West Germany in the Wembley final to win the Jules Rimet Trophy.

He is perhaps most famous for his diving save to deny Pele in a goalless draw with Brazil at the 1970 World Cup, somehow clawing the ball away.

His career was cut short when he lost the sight in his right eye following a car crash in 1973.

"It is with great sadness that we announce that Gordon passed away peacefully overnight," his family said.

"We are devastated to lose him but we have so many happy memories and could not have been more proud of him."

I love this picture of Gordon stopping a dog in its tracks. Takes some doing that.

The Championship's top three have played a game more than the four teams directly below them - including West Brom, who will go third and just two points from an automatic promotion spot if they beat Nottingham Forest.

Bristol City have won six in a row in the league and can leapfrog Middlesbrough with victory over QPR, but anything less would allow Forest and Birmingham to close the gap.

Three of the bottom six are in action, with an out-of-sorts Bolton hoping to get something at Birmingham to close the gap to safety.

Rotherham will end the night outside the bottom three regardless of results but can move four points clear if they get past Hull, while Millwall welcome Steve Bruce's Sheffield Wednesday to The Den.

They say the league campaign is a marathon, not a sprint.

With almost two-thirds of the season down, we're in that prime period of the 'race'. Who will crack?

Some teams will power through, overcoming the mental and physical challenges and pressures. Some will hit a wall.

Every point matters at this stage.
