Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson, speaking to Sky Sports: "It's a massive result for us. The first half an hour we blew them away without getting a second goal. We got a wee bit sloppy and, to be fair, Spurs have beaten us comfortably in the second half.
"But we fought right to the end and it's all about three points. I'm glad the final whistle went when it did."

That miss from Moussa Sissoko was a huge moment - he could, probably should, have put Spurs 2-1 up with just a few minutes left. But he spannered it over and moments later Liverpool found a winner.

What a day. We have had drama, late goals and calls for VAR. We have had everything. Liverpool were brave and they went four up front - how often do we see that? The decision by Virgil van Dijk to drop off Moussa Sissoko was brilliant and then they get the goal.

Brighton striker Glenn Murray, speaking to Sportsworld on BBC World Service: "I watched the closing moments of the match and I think Cardiff were really unlucky and the referee made the wrong decision with the first goal.
"It happened to us on a number of occasions this year and it is really difficult to take and I think the officials need to be aware of the magnitude of the decisions that they are making because at the end of the day it is people's livelihoods. I am not just talking about the players, I mean everyone involved with the clubs that are in precarious positions, it can affect all levels of the club.
"I don’t think they should be punished because they don’t set out to make a mistake but it is one of the toughest jobs out there and it is only getting quicker so it is getting more difficult for referees.I think the introduction of VAR can’t come soon enough"

This is the best game in the world. This is the best league in the world. Hugo Lloris made a big mistake and he should have caught the ball. It was a fantastic second half and it is a big statement by Liverpool.

Liverpool had just three shots on target in this game - only at home to Man City (2) have they had fewer in the Premier League this season.
Jurgen Klopp won't care as he punches the air in front of the Kop. What about Spurs though? Excellent in that second half, they've now lost 10 games in the league this season and could be sliding out of the top four at this rate. It's so tight behind the runaway top two.
