    Chelsea v Tottenham (20:00 GMT)

    Phil McNulty
    BBC Sport chief football writer

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri insisted it was a "misunderstanding" that led to keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga's refusal to be substituted in the Carabao Cup Final against Manchester City at Wembley on Sunday.

It must have been some misunderstanding - since then Kepa has been fined and now dropped.

Naughty step time for the Spaniard.

    Etihad

Manchester City are heading into March with their quadruple hopes very much alive and, if they are going to triumph on all four fronts, then the Etihad Stadium will definitely play its part.

With 13 wins out of 14 here in the Premier League so far in 2018-19, City have the best home record in the top flight, and they usually score a few goals along the way too.

In the seven games in all competitions since their sole domestic home defeat this campaign - against Crystal Palace on 22 December - they have enjoyed seven victories and scored 34 goals, an average of almost five per match.

With 10 defeats in 12 trips to the Etihad, West Ham’s record here does not suggest they can buck the trend but they and their manager Manuel Pellegrini will both remember their only win here, in September 2015. Sadly for Pellegrini, he was in charge of City at the time.

  4. David vs Goliathpublished at 19:17 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2019

Crystal Palace v Man Utd (20:00 GMT)

The good news? Crystal Palace are unbeaten in six games. Wilfried Zaha is full of form too having scored in three consecutive league matches.

But the bad news? Palace have never beaten Manchester United in the Premier League. In 19 matches, they have drawn just four and lost the other 15.

Palace have only scored seven goals in those 19 matches and United have lost just one of their 14 games under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's reign.

If Bournemouth are going to cause an upset tonight, they will have to break through a pretty solid Arsenal team at home.

The Gunners have won their last seven home matches. In fact, their record at the Emirates Is the second best in the Premier League.

Only Manchester City can top their tally of 11 wins and 35 points from 14 matches.

Bournemouth are also on a club top-flight record run of eight consecutive away defeats, conceding at least two goals each time.

Mick McCarthy has said he always felt West Ham's Declan Rice would opt for England rather than continuing his Republic of Ireland career.

Rice pledged his international future to England after taking some time to choose which country to represent.

McCarthy had promised to build a team around England-born Rice, who played in three friendlies for the Irish, if he declared for the Republic.

"I didn't think for one minute he was going to join us," McCarthy stated.

Rice made his decision public two weeks ago but McCarthy told RTE Sport he knew about it several months ago.

"I was hopeful. Was I optimistic? No."

Ahead of their only two Premier League games in March, crucial fixtures against Tottenham and Manchester United, Arsenal have to cash in against Bournemouth if they are to qualify for the Champions League.

Unai Emery was satisfied with his side's intensity against Southampton on Sunday, and their form at the Emirates is proving to be a solid foundation for a top four finish - only Manchester City have taken more points at home.

Eddie Howe has talked about the possibility of Bournemouth getting dragged into a relegation battle. Not since Portsmouth in 2006 has a team in the top flight lost eight consecutive away matches while conceding at least two goals in each.

Bournemouth won't go down but, with Manchester City at home on Saturday, Howe is wise not to be presumptuous.

"They train very well, which means they believe. We will fight together. If you fight, you may have a chance.

"I expect a lot of pressure, [Southampton] move the ball very quickly, they play directly. It's important for us to create chances to score goals."

Fulham were abysmal at the back against West Ham and, on that evidence alone, I have to go with a Southampton win here.

The Saints' revival under Ralph Hasenhuttl has hit the buffers a bit in the last few weeks, and this is the biggest game of their season - there is no doubt about that.
