Brighton looking for a knock-out blow today, such has been their lack of punch recently. Perhaps Chris Eubank Junior, a pre-match guest on the pitch, can serve as inspiration for Chris Hughton’s side.

He also exchanged a few hugs and high fives with the Brighton team, and let a few of the young matchday mascots hold his title belt. Classy stuff.

In terms of cost and reputation, Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Marcus Rashford should be a fairly normal attacking trio for Manchester United.

However, today is the first time they have been part of the same starting line-up since the beginning of October.

In fairness to Lukaku, his 11 goals put him level with Anthony Martial as United's second top scorer this season, behind Paul Pogba.

Sanchez though has found the net on two occasions, which is less than Ander Herrera.

Plenty for Gareth Southgate to keep a watchful eye on today here at Turf Moor. The England manager is here to check on the form of Tom Heaton, in particular, whose performances surely warrant a recall a week on Wednesday.

But what about Palace's Aaron Wan-Bissaka? He returns to Roy Hodgson's starting XI today after injury. They are just two of a few hoping to impress.

You would think Manchester United will get the win today. If you are Southampton, this game is a bonus.

United need to get into the Champions League. As much as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has done well, they need to finish in the Champions League places. If he does that, the job is his.
