BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

What a start for Cardiff and what a horrendous piece of play from West Ham.

Junior Hoilett was supplied by Josh Murphy after Victor Camarasa's run, but the West Ham defending was beyond poor, four players stood and watched as Hoilett stole-in.

A huge goal at the bottom of the Premier League.

Southampton are not looking to run with the ball but to find the channels in Redmond on the left and Ward-Prowse on the right and it's worked well so far.

Gale force winds on the south coast, but Harry Kane's well-coiffured hair remains in pristine condition.

That hair product doing its job so far.

Cardiff's Oumar Niasse, on loan from Everton, is sent through on goal - there's surely no catching him?

Oh yes there is, if you're Issa Diop.

The Hammers' French defender does brilliantly to poke the ball away from the forward as he pulled the trigger.

The wind will be a factor and I can see it will take a bit of time for the teams to adapt to it.

The ball sat on Harry Kane's back, I don't think I've seen that before and it was almost an amazing finish.

On-loan Monaco man Youri Tielemans has a good eye for a pass but is sniffing his first Leicester goal, but thumps a first-time strike into the stand.

Bournemouth have lost their last nine away from home, so this is a game where they will feel they can end that rotten run.

Star man David Brooks finds space in the opening minutes, but screws a shot way off target.

Steve Andrews: Liverpool Spurs & Arsenal will all bottle it. Man City just have all the best footballers. Man U are so full of belief I don't see it ending, confidence is such a big thing & Chelsea just don't have the quality to play the way Sarri wants and he's a one trick pony.

I don't expect Tottenham to suffer at all with Mauricio Pochettino not in the dugout.

He'll be there in the changing room and that's what matters.

  11. CLOSE x2!published at 15:04 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2019

    Southampton 0-0 Tottenham

Spurs badly need a win today and come close to breaking the deadlock but Harry Kane is unable to find the target on both occasions.

Firstly he scuffs a shot wide from outside the box following Dele Alli's flick on and then going in behind again from Christian Eriksen's pass, the England international smashes a shot over.

Not the sort of finishing you expect to see from Kane.

Josh Murphy plays a low ball to the near post which finds Junior Hoilett - he lifts his shot into the roof of the net.

A cute finish from the Canadian, and what a boost for the relegation-threatened Bluebirds.

  16. Spurs under pressure from Unitedpublished at 15:01 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2019

    Southampton 0-0 Tottenham

    Garth Crooks
BBC Sport football expert on Final Score

Manchester United have been so sensational under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer he’s been brought in to steady the ship but he has done a lot more than that. The way in which United are going they are setting themselves up to be serious title contenders next season.

They will put Spurs under enormous pressure for that fourth spot. I think Real Madrid are the only club that could lure Pochettino away from Spurs.

"I cried a lot when I left. My family, too. It was one of the most important periods of my life with my family, that I enjoyed the most, which is why it was so tough.

"You change in your life; you need to move. But I still love Southampton - of course I want to beat them on Saturday but I wish them the best."

Spurs' problem is United’s run. If it wasn’t for that they could easily get top four.

If somebody big comes in what do Spurs do? They will have to do what they can to keep Pochettino because he has got that club into a much better position.
