  2. 'Screaming out for a striker'published at 14:53 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2019

    What does your club need?

    Crystal Palace

Terence Ford from Crystal Palace fans site RedNBlueArmy:

"Crystal Palace fans should be expecting a quiet end to deadline day as the purse strings continue to tighten in South London.

"Bakary Sako has returned to the Club on a 6 month contract and Roy Hodgson will likely be happy that he will provide the cover up front that we currently lack.

"A very vocal contingent of fans will be screaming out for a striker, but Connor Wickham found the net against Spurs in the FA Cup which would have delighted the pockets of the board.

"Coupled with Christian Benteke returning from injury, with an accompanying mini documentary showing his recovery process, the message from the top will be that we have enough to survive for another season.

"If there is any movement I’d expect it would be a central midfielder on loan. An untimely injury in the middle could see us looking very short and we’ll need depth as progression deep into the FA Cup could be on the cards."

  3. Anderlecht want Bolasiepublished at 14:52 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2019

Bolasie had hoped to rekindle his Everton career, which had been interrupted by a serious knee injury, after returning from Villa Park but the Merseysiders are happy to let him leave on loan again before the close of the transfer window tonight.

    Miguel Almiron joins Newcastle

    Newcastle United

"We were following Miguel Almiron for a while," said Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez. "We saw a player with some pace in attack, who can play behind the striker.

"We have someone who can score goals and give assists. We know that MLS is a different challenge to the Premier League but he has the potential to do what we are expecting, and what we need.

"From talking to the lad, you can tell that he is really focused and wants to do well. He wants to be successful and he wants to help the team, to score goals and give assists if it is possible.

"His impact in MLS has been really good - he's been one of the best players this year - and hopefully he can give us more competition and more quality in the final third.

"I am pleased that the hard work behind the scenes has ended positively and I thank everyone for their efforts."

    What does your club need?

    Liverpool

    Lazar MarkovicImage source, gett

Liverpool supporter and editor of the Anfield Wrap Josh Sexton, is expecting it to remain a quiet day on the red half of Merseyside, though says he would be happy to offer his chauffeuring services to help with a departure, if needed.

"It's likely to be another one of those deadline days where Melwood closes early, and most supporters seem to be resigned to the fact there will be no incomings - barring a huge surprise," said Sexton.

"Some outgoings are possible, though they will likely be loans, and somehow Lazar Markovic will still be a Liverpool player. Seriously though, if anybody is out there, I will drive him to your training ground."

I'd buy Willian's flight to Barcelona for him if he'd get on it. Would free up the space to get Hudson-Odoi in (who would then be happier to stay).
