Cardiff fan Vince Alm: "The signing of Leandro Bacuna has come under the radar but he can cover several positions where we are a bit light.

"Haven’t really followed his career since leaving Villa but I do remember him as one of Aston Villa's better players last time we were in the Premier League.

"He can play right back or midfield and has a bit of pace which is something we are lacking in those areas.

"Could be another shrewd signing by Neil Warnock?"

Dana Blankenhorn: If you'd told me three years ago Atlanta would make the most money on a Premier League deadline day I'd have said you were barmy. But Miggy Almiron is a special talent. Y'all come on down.

George Clifton: Fans should remember Juan Iturbe, was always a player that looked like he could be great but never was.

Mind you, I have no concept of what is a good price for a striker any more.

  13. Will Grigg's on his waypublished at 22:46 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2019

    Your accountant's terrified...

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport

Wigan have accepted a £4million bid from Sunderland for striker Will Grigg.

The Black Cats had five previous bids turned down by the Latics but returned tonight and finally met Wigan’s asking price.

Grigg has been promoted from League One on three occasions, twice with Wigan and before that with MK Dons in 2015 and Sunderland will hope he can make it number four this season.

The Northern Ireland international also scored the winner in Wigan’s famous FA Cup win over Manchester City last February.

Literally just bumped into Juan Iturbe at Heathrow Airport. Wonder where he is off too?

    Wonderkid

Although we should never have signed him, in his 2nd season Fellaini was the ONLY United player who put his all in to every appearance, but the lemmings still moaned about his limitations. Good luck to the big man

Batshuayi makes it five for Belgium

Terence Ford, RedNBluearmy.co.uk: "Today was so quiet I'd almost forgot that it was Transfer Deadline Day! Now, out of the blue, Michy Batshuayi appears to be on his way to Selhurst Park!

"Whether it will be a loan or a permanent deal is currently unclear, but either will delight the Palace faithful at this stage.

"If the move does happen, it will be somewhat of a collector's item in beating West Ham and Everton to a target as it is normally those two clubs that are stealing players from under our noses."

More signings from outside the Premier League. Just under half an hour to go but there should be a fair amount of business still to be done in the English Football League before all is said and done this evening.

    • Viv Solomon-Otabo [Birmingham - Portsmouth] Loan
    • Matt Gilks [Scunthorpe - Lincoln] Free

Aleksander Pagels: Pretty sure I just spotted Peter Odemwingie in his car outside Loftus Road

Marilyn Mangel: I'm upset that Saints have not made a single signing yet have let a few players go. I know how Spurs fans must feel.

James Rand: Whenever transfer deadline day went quiet in the past Harry Redknapp was always on hand to shake the day up. He should be given a job just for days like today. I miss the Harry Redknapp days.

    Media caption,

'How has he missed that?' - Batshuayi misses sitter

David Ornstein tells me that Michy Batshuayi to Palace is still a '50/50' chance, and they are being quoted a significantly smaller loan fee now as the window closes in.

Jordan Ayew is staying with Palace, whatever happens.
