Tim Long: Manchester United should recall Fosu Mensah to cover in midfield. Never got a chance in his best position, still only 21, excelled in academy, adds energy & bite, would benefit from Solskjaer touch, & will not get any mins at Fulham under Ranieri. No brainer.

We can enjoy a whole Netflix series about that pursuit next year...

Steven Alexander: Hearing there's a chance of Gary Cahill joining Arsenal

Scott: Delighted Newcastle fan here; waited 14 years to actually celebrate a transfer window! Almirón looks good value for money compared to someone like Solanke. Great business. #howaythelads

Darren Anthony Fox: Tottenham winning a Trophy or a new signing... what’s happening first?

Dean Robinson: If someone had told me Newcastle would be the biggest deal on deadline day I’d have laughed at them. Then again if someone has told me we’d beat City I’d have laughter too!

In Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey you have the perfect number 10 but you only need one and not both. Ramsey is a really brilliant player but has tailed off, and Ozil has done the same.

With Denis Suarez you have the promise of someone who has the ability to work with the ball and is good in the counter-attack and wide areas, on the left and then coming inside.

He can also play as a striker and he is quality.

But what is his ability without the ball? We have to see if he can adapt without the ball at Arsenal.

There are question on his mental ability, but no doubt he is a talented player.

Sheffield Wednesday have signed defender Dominic Iorfa from Premier League side Wolves for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old's eight-year association with the Molineux club ends as he becomes Steve Bruce's first signing at the Owls.

Iorfa, who had a loan spell with Ipswich last season, made 93 appearances for Wolves but fell out of favour after head coach Nuno Espirito Santo's arrival in 2017.

Marouane Fellaini was brilliant for Belgium in the summer and he was effective under Jose Mourinho's plan B. Is he a Manchester United player? Probably not.

He has gone to China at the right time to cash in at this stage of his career.

Clubs do have a deal sheet and it has to arrive with the Premier League before 23:00 GMT.

So it effectively means they get an extra two hours, to get the deal done, therefore the BBC Sport website may be the place to go to, to get the drip, drip effect through the morning.

I'm really interested in this Michy Batshuayi to Palace deal.

It would be a great signing for Crystal Palace. We've been wondering who can create the goals for them all season and he could be the man.

Simon Wells: We need a striker! An out-and-out goalscorer. Relying on Gylfi, Richarlison & Walcott isn't going to cut it. Once again, Everton leaving it too late.

Andrew Gillespie: Nasty Everton stopping someone fulfilling their dream? If Gueye wanted it that much he could've put in a transfer request. No sympathy whatsoever.
