It's a yellow card. I don't know what Kevin Friend is looking at there. Matic knew exactly what he was doing. He's a better player than that.

I wonder if Man Utd might want to take Matic off.

    Chelsea 0-2 Man Utd

Not every foul is a booking but Nemanja Matic is a lucky man now after fouling N'Golo Kante. That was certainly in the 'seen them given' camp...

  4. Postpublished at 51 mins

    Chelsea 0-2 Man Utd

Nemanja Matic was booked in the first half and he must be on edge as he is pinged for anouther foul on Eden Hazard. He gets a reprieve, although again I don't think he actually fouled the Belgian.

Matic makes another foul seconds later...

    Chelsea 0-2 Man Utd

Chelsea nearly come undone from their own corner. Marcus Rashford burning past Cesar Azpilicueta, no contest. He puts over a cross for Romelu Lukaku but the Chelsea defence cover back and clear their lines.

  6. 45 minutes from the sack?published at 20:37 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2019

    Chelsea 0-2 Man Utd

No messing around from Chris Sutton here. He thinks it's a huge half for Maurizio Sarri.

I can write your post for 62 mins now: "Chelsea substitution, Barkley for Kovavic" Sarri the most predictable and least inspiring manager about.

    Chelsea 0-2 Man Utd

Chelsea need a bright start and preferably an early goal to stay in this tie. They do work the wall nicely into the feet of Gonzalo Higuain but his shot is charged down.

  10. KICK-OFFpublished at 45 mins

    Chelsea 0-2 Man Utd

Away we go....nope! Can't even get a kick-off right at the moment. Chelsea get a second attempt and manage to kick it straight out of play, Aidy Boothroyd style.

I expected Chelsea to be a lot sharper and to show a reaction from that defeat to Man City.

  13. 'Opening goal was against the run of play'published at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2019

Ex-Chelsea defender Wayne Bridge on BBC One: "I thought Chelsea started well and the goal was against the run of play.

"Defensively Alonso isn't good enough, his body position for the first goal. There's not enough talking going on."

Dan Middlehurst: I still don’t understand why N’Golo Kanté plays a more advanced role under Sarri. He’s the best CDM in the world, just play him there.

Koome Erick: I am not one to call for the manager's head but my goodness me Sarri! At least change something! Same tactics, same formation and same result.

Lewis Sullivan: 'Sarriball' is basically pass pass pass concede. So many games we have dominated play but end up losing.

Jaysal: Sarri-ball is indeed sorry-ball. Chelsea looking forward to a certain defeat because they’ve never been able to come back from behind to win under Sorry Sarri.
