    England 3-0 Japan

Phil Neville looks a bit stressed on the sidelines. Has he seen the score?

  2. Postpublished at 70 mins

    England 3-0 Japan

    And now England break!

Ellen White paces forward and crosses for Chioma Ubogagu. She can't head home.

And now White shoots wide after a mistake from Japan!

    A flurry.

  3. Postpublished at 69 mins

    England 3-0 Japan

Alex Greenwood whips in a free-kick from the right, her left foot bending the ball precisely.

Ellen White can't get a head on it.

At the other end, Yui Hasegawa is blocked by Leah Williamson, but Kumi Yokoyama wastes her attempt on goal.

Karen Carney and Beth Mead have been excellent. Their work rate off the ball as well as their quality on it.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 65 mins

    England 3-0 Japan

Ay up, more changes for the Lionesses.

Toni Duggan and Chioma Ubogagu are on. Karen Carney and Beth Mead, who scored England's second and third, are off.

  6. Postpublished at 64 mins

    England 3-0 Japan

Narumi Miiura catches Lucy Staniforth on the top of the foot and I imagine that's the same sensation as standing on an upturned plug in bare feet.

For some reason, the ref awards Japan the free-kick. It's 30 yards out and a long-range punt from Arisa Matsubara is straight into the chest of Carly Telford.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 60 mins

    England 3-0 Japan

Gemma Bonner ON. Keira Walsh, of mega pass for the third goal fame, is OFF.

  8. Postpublished at 59 mins

    England 3-0 Japan

    Japan are really building!

Kumi Yokoyama puts in a lovely through ball to Yuka Momiki but the Japanese forward's finish lets her down.

You can see them getting on the scoresheet.

  9. Postpublished at 57 mins

    England 3-0 Japan

Kumi Yokoyama, who came on at the break, charges at Steph Houghton and England's captain has to massively backtrack.

Yokoyama has options either side but she goes for goal and it's a wild effort which fails to trouble Carly Telford.

  10. CLOSE!published at 53 mins

    England 3-0 Japan

    Oooh. Good play from Japan.

Defender Aya Sameshima cuts inside on the left and her lofted, side-footed shot goes over the target.

More danger for England as a cut back from close range forces Steph Houghton to boot down field.

It's a completely different Japan side in this second half. Their intensity, their movement...

  12. Postpublished at 51 mins

    England 3-0 Japan

Yep, Japan are back and fighting. This time Yui Hasegawa makes space inside the area and sees her shot go wide.

Phil Neville makes his second change: Ellen White is on for double-assist queen Jodie Taylor.

You can make up to six subs in this competition and Neville hinted he would use all of them.

  13. Postpublished at 48 mins

    England 3-0 Japan

Rikako Kobayashi, who was one of two replacements on at half-time for Japan, finally gets the world number eight side going.

She wriggles free on the edge of the box but her shot is scuffed and heads wide of the goal.

  14. KICK-OFFpublished at 45 mins

    England 3-0 Japan

    Ohhhhhh, they're halfway there.

    Woaaaahhh, we're under way.

I'm obviously happy England are winning but I'm a little disappointed in Japan's performance. They have been slow and sloppy. They can't handle England in every single area. They are offering nothing. Their two shots have been outside the box! Happy days for England.

I think England have been excellent. Off the ball the shape has been perfect and the quality going forward has been superb. They have been clinical in their passing and finishing.
