Robert Turpie: Never a penalty in a million years. Completely spoiled what is an entertaining game.

Lee Palser: Not a penalty! Nobody noticed the two footed attempted challenge by the french player just before??

Stuart Gilby: How the hell is that a penalty? #FRA player jumps in 2 footed - no control . #NOR play swings CONNECTS with the ball and then hits the France player? Free kick Norway in my book - yellow card to France player. VAR is pathetic.

    France 2-1 Norway

Caroline Graham Hansen's touch on the edge of the area is neat. She flicks it up to control it and slips it left to Isabell Herlovsen.

The striker's touch isn't as good though and Marion Torrent comes across to deal with it.

Stuart Vernon: I’m pretty sure that the Norwegian defender would have gone in properly for the ball if the French player hadn’t have gone in 2 footed..? Surely not a penalty, and at least a yellow for France?

Samm Downing: Absolute joke of a penalty decision. You could argue the French player jumped into the challenge with two feet.

Comrade Bernski: VAR should be put on the first spaceship to Mars, what a disgraceful decision

Jasdip Sagu: How is that a penalty! She got the ball first!!! VAR being used incorrectly!

Tom McQuillin: I'm starting to think that lack of technology was never the issue with football... it was woeful refereeing. I can't believe that's been given as a penalty! Slow-motion makes everything look worse.

I can't help but sit hear frustrated. I feel the game has been let-down by VAR and weak officiating. I think it's a harsh decision.

The goalkeeper dived the right way but it was far too good a penalty. The most relieved woman in this place is Wendie Renard.

Engen's foot goes over the ball, it comes up and there is some clumsiness. But it's a ridiculous decision, I have to say.
