    Germany v Nigeria (16:30 BST)

...by the skin of their teeth.

Nigeria needed to secure one of the four best third-placed spots and had to wait until the final game of the group stages to find out whether they were through or not.

And it happened in dramatic circumstances!

Nigeria, who had picked up their only three points against South Korea, had a goal difference of -2 which Chile needed to match.

Chile, who started Friday with a -5 goal difference, needed to beat Group F opponents Thailand by three goals to go through on goals scored above Nigeria.

At 2-0 up, Chile were awarded a penalty in the 85th minute. It was the golden ticket to the last 16 but experienced midfielder Francisca Lara's spot kick crashed off the crossbar.
