  1. 'No pressure'published at 20:41 British Summer Time 27 June 2019

    Norway 0-2 England

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

It came through Keira Walsh and there was no pressure on her. Nikita Parris threads it through and it's a good finish.

  2. goal

GOAL - Norway 0-2 Englandpublished at 40 mins

    Ellen White

    Oh, this is brilliant!

Steph Houghton plays it wide to Lucy Bronze and the right-back cuts it inside to Nikita Parris. The Lyon winger passes it inside to Ellen White, who just has to tap it into an open net from a yard out.

    That's more like it!

Hatters: Bardsley's kicking throughout is very poor

John: Walsh misplacing passes, Kirby anonymous. The rest on their game.

  4. GREAT SAVE!published at 39 mins

    Norway 0-1 England

Keira Walsh wins the ball in midfield and moves it on to Ellen White. The striker touches it left to Fran Kirby first time.

Kirby cuts inside and sees the run of Nikita Parris. She picks her out with a brilliant curling ball towards the back post but Parris' header is well saved.

  5. 'Duggan getting better & better'published at 20:37 British Summer Time 27 June 2019

    Norway 0-1 England

    Sue Smith
Former England forward on BBC One

Toni Duggan has got better at this World Cup.

When she first came back after injury she looked a bit rusty and in the last game I thought she got better and better. She has started brightly against Norway.

  6. 'Has to play it simple'published at 20:37 British Summer Time 27 June 2019

    Norway 0-1 England

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Karen Bardsley did the right thing to drop off and receive the backpass but then she has to play it simple and clear the ball.

  7. CLOSE!published at 37 mins

    Norway 0-1 England

Steph Houghton gets there in front of Isabell Herlovsen and coolly plays it back to Karen Bardsley.

The England keeper should clear it first time but has a touch and it's a very poor one. She has to slide and hoof it away from Herlovsen, who was inches away from poking it into an empty net.

    Howler!

  8. Postpublished at 36 mins

    Norway 0-1 England

Toni Duggan is hacked from behind by Vilde Risa and wins a free-kick on the left wing. It's played back to Millie Bright, who plays it long to Ellen White.

It's eventually played out to Nikita Parris on the right but her combination with Lucy Bronze doesn't come off.

Iain: Terrific composed possession based football from ENG so far. Need to be a bit more decisive in the final third but so far impressive

    Norway 0-1 England

The replay shows it actually bounces off Demi Stokes' foot and into her arm before hitting Nikita Parris.

It would be a ridiculous penalty to give - and the referee got that one right. Here's what the new law says counts as handball in that kind of incident:

... the ball touches a player’s hand/arm when it is above their shoulder (unless the player has deliberately played the ball which then touches their hand/arm)

  11. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 32 mins

    Norway 0-1 England

Ingrid Engen has so much space on the edge of the England box. She waits and waits to shoot before slamming it into Demi Stokes - who has been excellent so far.

It rebounds off Stokes and onto Nikita Parris. The Norwegians are appealing for a penalty but the referee isn't interested. No VAR either...

  12. Postpublished at 20:30 British Summer Time 27 June 2019

    Norway 0-1 England

    Tom Garry
    BBC Sport in Le Havre

A big gasp goes up around the ground as Ellen White smacks the post! Other than that, the England fans are sitting comfortably at the moment, with their side winning a World Cup quarter-final.

The 'self preservation society' theme song from the movie The Italian Job is the latest number the England fan's band have come up with.

In case you're wondering, it's not possible for either of these sides to meet Italy before the final.

  13. 'England being allowed to pop the ball all over'published at 20:30 British Summer Time 27 June 2019

    Norway 0-1 England

    Emma Hayes
Chelsea Women manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

If Norway do not get hold of Nikita Parris this game is going to be over. There's no pressure on the England midfield and they are being allowed to pop the ball all over.

  14. Postpublished at 30 mins

    Norway 0-1 England

That's the second big chance England have had to make it 2-0.

  15. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 29 mins

    Norway 0-1 England

    Is it a second? NO!

Nikita Parris lifts it over the top for Ellen White. The England top scorer takes a good first touch on the right-hand side of the box before slamming it against the far post.

    I thought it was in!

The woman's team are brilliant going forward but give the ball away far too much. Need to be much better with our passing. Really enjoyable to watch, mind.

  17. Postpublished at 28 mins

    Norway 0-1 England

Lucy Bronze gives the ball away on the edge of the Norway box and Fran Kirby loses out on the rebound.

Demi Stokes is smart and hangs back, which stops the counter-attack. England need to be careful they don't push too many players forward at once.

  18. The difference so far...published at 20:26 British Summer Time 27 June 2019

  19. Postpublished at 20:26 British Summer Time 27 June 2019

    Norway 0-1 England

    Sue Smith
Former England forward on BBC One

England started off so well - really on the front foot. This has happened throughout this World Cup, they have had phases and stages where they've got a little sloppy.
