There are unconfirmed reports that the USA fans just sang happy birthday to Alex Morgan.
It is her 30th today so I suppose we'll let them off on this occasion.

I missed Alex Morgan's celebration...
She pretended to drink a cup of tea in true British style. The cheek!!!

That goal from Alex Morgan has drawn her level again with Ellen White in the race for the Golden Boot.
They both have six goals - one more than Megan Rapinoe and Sam Kerr.

Julie Ertz and Tobin Heath link-up nicely on the right of the box and the midfielder is invited to shoot on the edge.
She does but it's always rising.

Now there are USA flags waving all around three quarters of this stadium again, and it's an engrossing atmosphere.
This feels like the most intense half of football we've seen so far in this World Cup.

This is a great game of football. We hadn't seen anything from Alex Morgan but that cross, that movement and that header were world class.

Oh, what a goal this would have been!
It's flying into the top right corner from Keira Walsh from a good 25 yards out. USA keeper Alyssa Naeher dives across and gets her fingertips on it.
Unbelievable save. Smaller goals? No thanks.

That is why Alex Morgan is one of the best strikers in the world.
Just look at her movement, she comes across Demi Stokes but you have to stop the delivery.
England can do better defensively, they know the USA like to get the ball out wide and get crosses into the box.

It's a game of crosses so far and not being able to apply pressure on the ball.
Alex Morgan, who has been quiet so far, ghosts in off the shoulder of Steph Houghton. It's prolific forward play.

England are caught out in the air again. Demi Stokes doesn't react quick enough as Lindsey Horan swings a lovely cross into the centre.

What a game this is!
England have really stepped it up in the last 10 minutes. Carly Telford has been great too. Here is that early save she made to deny Rose Lavelle.

Great pressure from England this.
Keira Walsh puts in a lovely delivery and Jill Scott was running in behind to pounce.
That clearance could have gone anywhere.

Wow!!!
Lucy Bronze creates something out of nothing. She uses her pace and strength to cut inside and weaves her way through several challenges.
She pokes it through to Beth Mead on the edge of the box but the winger slips. It comes back out to Keira Walsh and she drills a long ball over the top.
Becky Sauerbrunn tries to clear it but almost slices it into her own net. That was INCHES away!

That was really well-watched by Carly Telford because it was going through bodies.

Tobin Heath's ball into the area is attacked by Lucy Bronze. The right-back clatters into Alex Morgan, who goes down with a thump in the box.
There's appeals for a penalty but Rose Lavelle picks up the rebound and smashes it towards goal.
Carly Telford is on her feet and reacts well to parry it to her left.

It’s standing room only at this sports bar in Washington DC - perhaps aptly, depending on the outcome of the game and who you support, called Lucky Bar. While it’s mid-afternoon on a Tuesday, it’s rammed in here, with red, white and blue shirts everywhere you look.
Americans are known for loving their sport, but this outpouring of support and passion for the USA women’s team is tangible, the place erupting into cheers as the US room the lead early in the game.
It was a different story when Ellen White equalised, with a few lone whoops and cheers and a distinctly English-sounding cry of “get in”.
There is a smattering of England shirts on display as well - but they’re vastly outnumbered.
Ridley Williams and Richard Lindley are a married couple who have split loyalties - she supporting the US and he proudly wearing his three lions on his shirt. “We’re going to see if our marriage lasts the game,” Ridley says wryly. “We have an agreement that we aren’t going to gloat, no matter what.”

It's end-to-end stuff now! Millie Bright blocks a shot with her face and Rachel Daly leads a counter-attack for England.
Ellen White tries to get a yard in the box but goes down under pressure from Abby Dahlkemper.
Doesn't look like anything to me and there are very few appeals for a penalty.
