    Lindsay Johnson
Ex-England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

England have got on the ball a lot more in the last five minutes and they are moving it much quicker. They have produced a much better performance since Fran Kirby's goal.

    England 1-2 Sweden

Sofia Jakobsson is still being a nuisance. She links up with Stina Blackstenius before her cross sails wide and out for a goalkick.

Alex Greenwood is screaming at Jade Moore and Beth Mead. "Get back and help!"

  4. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 41 mins

    England 1-2 Sweden

Alex Greenwood links up with Fran Kirby on the left and makes a run which gives Kirby space to cut into the centre.

She plays a lovely ball across the pitch to Nikita Parris. The new Lyon winger fires it in but Kirby falls to the floor appealing for a penalty. No VAR check and the referee is having none of it.

Kassim: Absolutely awful decision from VAR! Slow it down to the milliseconds and there’s fouls everywhere! Scrap it totally it’s becoming embarrassing!

Gavin: Another wrong VAR decision, they need to go back to the drawing board and start again before it ruins the game

    England 1-2 Sweden

Nikita Parris wastes too long on the ball and gets a bit of a shouting from Jade Moore. Ellen White tracks back and wins the ball again but Fran Kirby's touch through to Parris is just a little too heavy.

  8. Postpublished at 37 mins

    England 1-2 Sweden

England look a different team now. Beth Mead's cross from the left is close to Nikita Parris at the back post but the keeper does well to get there first.

Alex Greenwood then nutmegs the full-back and gets a big cheer from the England supporters.

  9. 'White has plenty of time'published at 16:36 British Summer Time 6 July 2019

    England 1-2 Sweden

    Lindsay Johnson
Ex-England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

I didn't see it in real time but when we slow it down it does touch her arm.

In the rules of the game, that goal has to be disallowed, but Ellen White has plenty of time to get that seventh goal.

That means Ellen White still trails in the Golden Boot race. She is level with Alex Morgan on six goals but the USA striker has three more assists.

    England 1-2 Sweden

    Lucy Ward
Former Leeds United Ladies striker on BBC One

From one angle it does look like she had a hand to it, helping the momentum.

I liked VAR in the semi-final. I am not so sure I like it now.

That sort of thing would never, ever be noticed without VAR, but that is why it is there.

It's clear on the replay. It's definitely handball. But Ellen White isn't happy. She falls to her knees before questioning the referee.

Brilliant goal! As soon as Ellen White gets the goal you know where it is going. She has so much confidence. That is exactly what England needed. Two bits of quality get them back in the game.

  17. VAR check...published at 16:34 British Summer Time 6 July 2019

    England 2-2 Sweden

Oh no! Could she have another one ruled out? It looks like Ellen White will be penalised for handball as she beats Linda Sembrant.

    SHE'S DONE IT AGAIN!

Ellen White, who has now scored SEVEN goals, has doubled England's lead. She chests a cross down from Beth Mead and turns beautifully inside the box.

A sliding finish slots it past the keeper.

That's better. Excellent finish by Fran Kirby. Direct. That exactly what England need and exactly what England are capable of. Hedvig Lindahl, Fran's Chelsea team-mate, will have seen exactly that type of finish all the time in training.

  20. 'That is what we want to see'published at 16:32 British Summer Time 6 July 2019

What a fantastic finish. It was direct play by England down the right and it's a great left-footed finish by Fran Kirby. That's what we want to see.
