It came off her chest first then hit her hand. For me it should have been a goal.

This would have been her best goal at this tournament. She gets the right side of the defender, how the referee can give this as handball, or the VAR or whoever makes this decision, is wrong.

The England subs are out on the pitch warming-up at half-time, including Karen Carney who's expected to make her 144th and final cap for the Lionesses in this game.

She's looking relaxed and focused now...but imagine the emotions if she came on and scored the winner?

England eventually came to life but at the start they looked shaken, all over the place and taken by surprise.

The worst bit is that Ellen White's celebration was a cracker. She pretended to sip tea...

Where have we seen that before? #teagate

Welcome to the world of VAR. If it isn't completely clean, they will probably find you out, and it was the correct decision.

Sweden have been great. Energy and power. They do the simple things very well. They are organised and everyone knows what they are doing. The back four for England at the moment... I am sure if Alex Scott was playing in it she would be shouting and screaming.

    Oh, that's the chance!

Nikita Parris turns smartly and deceives two defenders. She charges through the centre and plays a lovely through ball to Ellen White.

The top-scorer has time to pick her spot but ends up drilling it straight at the keeper and is disappointed when it's cleared past Parris.

  14. VAR checkpublished at 45+5 mins

    England 1-2 Sweden

Steph Houghton looks like she's used her arm there but it's under pressure and a bit of bundling from Stina Blackstenius.

    Nothing given.

Lucy Bronze and Nikita Parris work it well down the right. But when the cross comes in, it takes a lucky deflection and falls kindly for the keeper.

At the other end, a long ball catches out Steph Houghton and Carly Telford and the two get all mixed up.

One side of the Stade de Nice is drenched in sun and it looks like some of the fans are struggling to deal with its intensity.

They're moving from their seats to stand at the back, on the concourse, just to find some shade.

I don't envy the players sweating it out on the pitch right now.
