It's got a bit of a pantomime feel to it inside the Stade de Lyon.

There are huge boos from the USA fans every time Rapinoe et al end up on the end of a tackle, but the Dutch fans try to drown them out with huge cheers in support of their team's commitment.

Lieke Martens does well to bundle her way through a few challenges in the middle. She pokes it onto Vivianne Miedema on the edge of the box but the Arsenal striker won't reach it.

At the other end, Alex Morgan tries to feed it through for Megan Rapinoe but there's too much on it.

Chukwu: This is the first time in this tournament that the USA haven't scored inside the opening 12 minutes! It really shows that the Netherlands might win this one

Amber: No early goal for the USA... The Dutch are holding them off well

The Netherlands have already achieved what Japan couldn't in 2015. Not concede four goals within the first 16 minutes. RESULT!

There's a two-on-two for the States but Megan Rapinoe loses out to Anouk Dekker. She thinks she's been fouled by the French referee is having none of it.

Danielle van de Donk uses her strength to win a free-kick on the right.

That is excellent goalkeeping. You know that if the player gets to the byline she's going to cut it back and you have to try and cut it out. That is exactly what Sari van Veenendaal did.

Megan Rapinoe is away down the left, chasing a long ball but Desiree van Lunteren tracks back well and slides to poke it out for a corner.

Rapinoe's cross comes out to Tobin Heath on the edge of the box, who heads it into the feet of Rose Lavelle.

She gets a yard on Anouk Dekker but her cross is picked out by keeper Sari van Veenendaal. A nicely worked corner though! One off the training ground.

The Dutch try to feed it through early but keeper Alyssa Naeher reacts to come off her line and snuff out the danger on the edge of the box.

The USA then build-up another attack from the back. There's a good tempo to the game so far!

Tobin Heath swings the free-kick into the centre but it's comfortably headed clear before Julie Ertz leaves one in on Dominique Bloodworth.

The Dutch midfielder goes into the book and Vivianne Miedema is not happy about it at all! Seemed a little harsh...

It is just incredible noise inside the stadium every time the USA get on the attack. They are so passionate about their team.

Megan Rapinoe tries an audacious cross-field ball to Tobin Heath. It is almost perfect but has too much pace on it in the end and races away.

Tobin Heath keeps the ball in play on the right and swings a cross in. There's no danger but Desiree van Lunteren is careless with her touch and Megan Rapinoe comes following through to nick it off her.

Rapinoe evades the challenge and pokes it back into the centre but there's nobody up in support.
