"I am happy, disappointed with the result but so happy with the performance - we were always in the game.

"Today the first clear action was Sonny, the next action we concede. We know very well Man City have an unbelievable squad and the quality they have is amazing. We know they have the capacity to score.

"It was a little bit unlucky to concede, but most important to keep the feelings because Tuesday is coming very quick. Brighton, West Ham and then the semi-final in our stadium that will be decisive to achieve all we want this season."

"I’ve not done anything. I’ve told my players that if they’ve forgotten what happened it’s good but if it still hurts then it’s good.

"Those 10 seconds of joy and happiness to devastation. That kind of experience has given us emotions we wouldn't have had. Today our fans were incredible.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, speaking to Sky Sports: "A lot important. Important for the race for the Premier League. We know we cannot drop points. It was tight, they had more chances than the previous two games. After defeat Wednesday the last two days were tough.

"We came back with this sunshine, the effort of the players was incredible.

"Twenty four months doing that, when you have 100 points and 86 now... after what we have done last season, being in the final of the FA Cup, the team was incredible this season and that's why they don't have to show me their character.

"They (Tottenham) don't lose anything, we lose the Premier League today (if City lost)."

Tottenham defender Juan Foyth, speaking to Sky Sports: "Manchester City are a very tough team, we knew after the game we worked hard but that's football - sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

"We have to play game by game, very focused because every team in the Premier League is hard."

Imran: After a couple of sub par performances against Crystal Palace and Spurs in the CL. Ederson has just put in a MOTM performance.

Gbadero Toluwalope: Manchester City! Probably the best team I've watched since my 13 years of following football. 22 points from a possible 27 from top six clubs, should easily make it 25 at Old Trafford. They deserve really some accolades!

"We knew what they were about because we have played them twice already. It's hard and we looked a bit leggy but we got the job done.
