No need to panic just yet if you are a Liverpool supporter - the Reds have won their last five Premier League games, with the winning goal each time coming after half-time.

If I was manager of Liverpool I’d tell the players to keep doing what they're doing. They need to keep creating chances.

If they get one, you’d expect them to get one or two more.

The Christian Benteke we know and love - Wilfried Zaha squares it from the right, Benteke leans back and smashes it over the top...

    Arsenal 0-1 Crystal Palace

Palace have been largely on the back foot but they call Bernd Leno into action. The German spills a cross, it is worked back out to the arriving Aaron Wan-Bissaka and his cross/shot has to be turned away.

Neil Warnock will be delighted with his team’s performance in the first half.

If he can get his team into half-time at 0-0, he’ll be over the moon.

    Cardiff 0-0 Liverpool

Almost shinned in! Cardiff force a corner, Alisson punches it out but it comes back in, Oumar Niasse swivels and hooks it on goal with his shin and Alisson saves well.

Liverpool counter, four on four, but they don't make the most of it...

It’s a definite penalty. I can’t believe the referee has got it wrong.

The referees have a duty to get these decisions right, even more so with Arsenal going for fourth place.

If the referee doesn’t see Aaron Wan-Bissaka's hands up in the air then the linesman should.

    Arsenal 0-1 Crystal Palace

No Arsenal-Spurs rivalry fuelling intended, but there's something Jermain Defoe-like in the way Alexandre Lacazette can get a shot away no matter where he's positioned inside the area. He gets the ball with his back to goal, two defenders invading his personal space but he manages to spin out of pressure and curl an effort over the bar from 18 yards.

    Solid effort.

    Cardiff 0-0 Liverpool

Cardiff's game of offside trap roulette continues. They catch Mo Salah offside, but then get the benefit of the doubt from the officials as Sadio Mane is flagged when he was level.

Liverpool with 82% possession. A matter of time?

  15. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 38 mins

    Arsenal 0-1 Crystal Palace

Still Arsenal piling forwards, and a left-wing cross is blocked by the hands of Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Referee Jon Moss is unimpressed, but if I borrow my time machine from the last entry and go forwards a year instead, VAR would give that...

Jordan Henderson now sends Mo Salah sprinting into space on the halfway line. It's one on one with the last defender, last season I'd already be typing GOAL but instead he's held up well by Bruno Manga until a second Bluebird can assist and make the tackle.

Salah didn't do anything wrong there, but last season he would have motored on and scored...

    Cardiff 0-0 Liverpool

Oumar Niasse has been sellotaped back together and can carry on. Save!

Almost genius from Mo Salah as he conjures up a sort of pirouette on the edge of the area to let the ball run through. He's in on goal but his shot is turned away by a diving Neil Etheridge.

If I were to be overly critical, Salah should have gone with his right foot there.

  18. CLOSE!published at 30 mins

    Cardiff 0-0 Liverpool

A tough afternoon going backwards so far for Trent Alexander-Arnold but he remains a weapon at the other end of the pitch. What a cross that is, begging to be finished, as he skips one in to the near post.

Sadio Mane reads it and gets there first, but he can only shoot over on the stretch, A break in play now for an injury to Oumar Niasse.

Shkodran Mustafi heads over after a corner is flicked on - Arsenal still building up a head of steam as they look for a response.

Stay like this and the Gunners would be fourth, while Palace would be up to 12th.

  20. 'We proved our quality'published at 16:26 British Summer Time 21 April 2019

    Everton 4-0 Man Utd

    Everton

Everton manager Marco Silva, speaking to Match of the Day: "The big difference I saw this afternoon is we were more clinical and scored more goals. Since the first minute we were the best team on the pitch. We kept pressing and didn't give them a chance to shoot on our target in the first half. We showed very good moments with quality, nice, good goals for our fans to enjoy.

"Man Utd changed two players (at half-time), but we kept doing the same and every time we went for the attack we had a chance and a clean sheet is really important.

"It's normal in my teams, we don't just have one player to score goals - I like to spread and my wingers can score, like Richarlison and Theo (Walcott) today. When a midfielder like Gylfi (Sigurdsson) can score goals we are giving a different option.

"He just keeps doing what he is doing because he prepares during the week and the midfielders behind him help him. Gylfi and Richarlison are in a good fight and it's important for us.

"We proved our quality. We are on a fantastic run with clean sheets also. It's fantastic for me to see our fans like this, the atmosphere and environment was fantastic."
