Rodgers leaving Celtic?published at 11:42 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2019

#bbcfootball or text 81111 (UK only)

Jack Tanner: Rodgers going to Leicester now quite odd. Celtic still have much to play for (even if a few points ahead) whereas Leicester almost certainly out of relegation danger and top 8 contention (and FA Cup).

Steve Johnson: LCFC fans need to remember Rodgers has a very rigid philosophy. 1, 2 touch possession football. If there is a stubborn dressing room, there'll be problems.

Paddy Hutchison: Rodgers walking away from Celtic folklore is beyond me. But, to go to a mid table PL club says more about him, than Celtic. Such a step down, and selling his talents short.

Rodgers to leave Celtic?published at 11:01 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2019

#bbcfootball or text 81111 (UK only)

Scott Wilson: Good move for Rogers no matter what anyone says. Celtic board have made it clear they are a selling for profit club and clearly won't back him in Europe with money. Last 16 is all any old firm club will get in Europe. He has given celtic 2 and a half fantastic years.

Rory Forrest: Celtic fans angry at Rodgers should direct their ire at [Peter] Lawwell. Didn’t back his man so this was always on the cards. Very short sighted of the board and now we see the results.

Alan Johnson: Rodgers may have had disagreements with the board but he is letting the players and fans down by jumping ship to a mid-table English team when we are on for the treble. Clearly not as big a Celtic fan as he’d claimed.

Rodgers to Leicester?published at 10:48 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2019

#bbcfootball or text 81111 (UK only)

Benzin: Sorry Scottish football fans, do you not think Rodgers might want to go to LCFC for a challenge outside of a few matches a year in Europe?

David Melton: Good luck to Rodgers he's very much earned another crack at the premier league with a decent team.

Hush Records: Anyone saying it is a step down is wrong. Anyone can win trophies in Scotland with Celtic.. in al likelihood Celtic are a bottom 3 team in the EPL.. of course Leicester is an attractive offer.

Dean: Bit silly of Mourinho to create a negative place to work then comes out he wants a positive role next. Constant criticism of individual players, he created negativity! No plan B type of manager, definitely not missing his style.

    Jonathan Powell: Mourinho to Celtic?

Adam: Maybe someone should point out to José that he's the one that brings conflict and zero empathy to any club he manages!

  16. Time for Lukaku and Sanchezpublished at 10:26 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2019

Crystal Palace v Man Utd (Wed, 20:00 GMT)

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport

With all the forwards Manchester United will have missing for tomorrow's trip to Crystal Palace, there could not be a better time for Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to find top form.

Both were signed at huge expense - yet neither has made a consistent impact.

Solskjaer said: "This is a chance for them to play to their potential. The two of them get on very well. Hopefully Alexis and Rom can step up."

  17. 'The greatest coach I ever worked with'published at 10:23 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2019

    Manchester United

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said that youngsters Angel Gomes, Tahith Chong and Jimmy Garner will all be involved at Selhurst Park on Wednesday night.

"They have been part of our training for a long time," he said. "Angel has been with England Under-17s with Jadon Sancho, Phil Foden and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

"Garner is a Michael Carrick but 20 years younger, Chongy will be taking people on. They are ready.

"It's harder as a defender. Attackers can win you games, they don’t lose them."

  19. Up to 10 out for Man Utdpublished at 10:12 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2019

Crystal Palace v Man Utd (Wed, 20:00 GMT)

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said there are 'not a lot of positives' for Manchester United on the injury front.

Eight senior players are definitely out for tomorrow's trip to Crystal Palace, as is young striker Mason Greenwood.

Striker Marcus Rashford is still to be assessed after hurting his ankle early in Sunday's 0-0 draw with Liverpool.

Argentina defender Marcos Rojo is fit but ironically, defence is the area where United have most cover.
