  6. 'As long as we get the right decision, who cares?'published at 14:48 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2019

Scholes on VAR: "The only thing I have with it is can you celebrate a goal properly?

"You’re always wondering, can the fans celebrate because they are wondering could it go back, be something wrong, a ball out of play 10 minutes ago, that’s the only thing that gets on my nerves with it really.

"The amount of time it takes as well, last night four or five minutes just for a simple handball decision – it’s yes or no and it seemed he watched it 50 times.

"Just make it quicker, can they get big screens at the grounds like rugby league so fans actually know what people are looking at?

"There’s a long way to go I think there is still a few things to solve but as long as we get the right decision, who cares?”

Some updates now from Paul Scholes' Oldham news conference.

    You lucky things.

On Solskjaer bringing the real United back: “I said that about four or five weeks ago I felt like it was coming back and I feel like it now even more.

"He’s done an amazing job, better than anyone could have ever imagined. Hopefully they’ll be some silverware at the end of it.

"Hopefully he can get some of his first team players back, although the kids that came in all contributed to it.

"It just feels like Manchester United again, seeing the ex-players, the ex-manager all around the place, making people feel welcome again who mean a lot to the club is great, and long may it continue.”

Rodgers on his first game at the King Power: "I’m so excited about the game because in my experience of coming here with Swansea and Liverpool, the atmosphere and the intensity in the stadium when the team was going to win the league was excellent.

“It’s going to be important for us. It’s the first steps of a really exciting journey for us.
