    Paris St-Germain 1-3 Man Utd (Agg 3-3)

Former Scotland winger Pat Nevin on BBC Radio 5 Live: "I am not a Manchester United fan but I am grinning from ear to ear at what I have seen here. I would put it as more than history, I would put it as magical."

I think we can all agree that no matter who you support, you have to give credit where credit's due.

More reaction from players, pundits and social media is right here.

United deserved last night. Strangely Ole's team had shades of Jose's Inter - Concede possession and take your chances. Showed proper grit when all odds were against us. PSG are trying to buy the CL but you can't buy spirit & tradition. Mercenaries will only take you so far. No need to announce Ole & his background team publicly but get him signed up. Proud to be a Red this morning & to finish the game with so many academy graduates honours a long history and tradition. Arsenal next...ps definite pen - basic defending, never turn your back to block a shot. Stand and take it on the chin.

  3. Anyone else channel Martial last night?published at 08:22 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2019

    Paris St-Germain 1-3 Man Utd (Agg 3-3)

Anthony Martial was basically every United fan last night...

“Come on Rashy, come on Rashy,” he prayed to the TV.

    His prayers worked...

  4. 'You have to give him the job'published at 08:17 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2019

    Paris St-Germain 1-3 Man Utd (Agg 3-3)

Solskjaer has now won 14 out of 17 games in all competitions, his only defeat coming against PSG at Old Trafford in the first leg.

Appointed only as caretaker in December following the sacking of Jose Mourinho, it now seems a case of when, not if, the club's former striker will be appointed permanently.

Stoke midfielder Charlie Adam said on BBC Radio 5 Live: "If he has not got the job tomorrow then there is something wrong. You have to give him the job."

Larry: Utd fan here. Never a pen in a million years! If that's a pen then we're in for serious problems in prem next season!! We are through though, bring on quarters!!

Sana Hashimi: All the fans of Man U and pundits are talking about how man u are back. They played horribly the whole game. The only reason they won was because of mistakes by PSG.

Steve: No utd fan but it was a pen, he jumped turned his back and opened his arms expanding his reach. PSG manager saying it was no pen as it was going over is in denial of what a penalty is and should be focusing on why PSG were allowed to be so complacent

Was it a penalty? Should Solskjaer be given the permanent job? Can United go on to win the Champions League?

  18. 'It's what we do, that's Man United'published at 07:26 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2019

    Paris St-Germain 1-3 Man Utd (Agg 3-3)

"That's the Champions League, it's what it does," caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted after the historic win.

"It's this club, it's what we do, that's Man United."

Solskjaer is used to making an impact in the Champions League - he famously scored a late winner for United in the 1999 final, of course.

But it turns out he's pretty nifty in charge too, presenting a persuasive case on why he should be given the job permanently.

  19. Paris St-Germain who?published at 07:13 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2019

    Paris St-Germain 1-3 Man Utd (Agg 3-3)

Remember way back when on Tuesday night, when Real Madrid's Champions League reign came to an end?

    Enter: Manchester United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have risen through the ashes like a phoenix since Jose Mourinho's departure in December.

Just 24 hours after Ajax's domination the night before, Man Utd decided to take matters into their own hands to produce a historical comeback on Wednesday night.
