There has been plenty of speculation that Brendan Rodgers will aim to bring Celtic’s head of recruitment Lee Congerton to the King Power.

The Foxes' current transfer chief Eduardo Macia has subsequently been linked with Bordeaux.

“There’s nothing to add to that. There’s always speculation because I brought Lee in to Celtic. Our relationship goes back a long way and he’s very good at what he does.

“Eduardo is in position here. Lee is working at Celtic. There’s lots of speculation around, whether it’s staff or players. It’s not something that’s a focus for now.”

Brendan Rodgers' wife and stepdaughter are believed to have been inside his East Dunbartonshire home when it was broken into.

Family possessions were stolen, including medals won during Rodgers' reign as Celtic manager.

The Leicester boss has just spoken out about the incident.

“It’s obviously something that’s not nice for any family to go through. As I said it gave the girls a fright.

“The last 10 days there’s been a lot of talk about my move to here.

"I don’t want to detract from an amazing time we had in Glasgow. The experiences we had there were amazing on and off the field. We don’t want to let the last 10 days cloud any of that.

“We’ve dealt with it, we’ve had lots of support. They’re both safe.

“It’s an unfortunate incident, it’s sad for the girls - for someone to come in at the night - it’s horrendous really, I just made sure they were secure up there.

“We are looking to buy a home here in Leicester. They will move down very soon. We will throw our lives into here and I look forward to that.”

  13. 'To ban me for two games is unbelievable' - Pochpublished at 13:33 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2019

Southampton v Spurs (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

    Tottenham Hotspur

More form Poch on his ban...

On his good behaviour: “This is my seventh season in England. You can see how I’ve behaved since day one.

“I was always a player, coach, who wanted to help the FA. Always try to behave in my best.

“I think always I was always so implicating to improve everything.

On whether two games is harsh: “It’s my first time here when I’m not completely right in my behaviour but I feel that it’s too much.

"I feel a bit sad with the punishment.

“I need to wait and see what they put on the letter and the reason to ban me with two games. That is unbelievable, no?”

Poch has been given a two-match touchline ban and £10,000 fine for his post-match row with referee Mike Dean after Tottenham's Premier League defeat at Burnley.

He will sit in the stands for Premier League matches at Southampton and Liverpool.

“I am in shock. I still think it’s unfair. I can do nothing," Poch said.

“I still need to see the reasons but the letter has still not arrived. I am suspended for two games.

On whether he’s appealing: “I think we are waiting after Wednesday the letter from the FA but it’s still not arrived.

"I’m so curious to see why they decided to do what they did. (A) two game ban is completely unfair and I want to see why and then talk a bit more."

  16. 'VAR is so important. Man Utd penalty was the right decision' - Gerrardpublished at 13:27 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2019

    Paris St-Germain 1-3 Man Utd (Agg 3-3)

Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has given his thoughts on Manchester United’s penalty.

"The rules are the rules and we all have to expect that and respect it as well, because the rules are not going to change, certainly during the season,” Gerrard said.

"Listening to some of the officials commenting on it, is very interesting because they say the penalty decision was correct and the referee was correct.

"When I saw it initially I am thinking the PSG defender was very hard done by, it is very harsh on PSG but if you look at the rules it is the right decision.

"That is the reason why VAR is so important because without it, that probably gets missed and then Manchester United go out the cup which would have been nice from a Liverpool fan's point of view but it would have been an injustice."

  17. 'We need to be aggressive'published at 13:24 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2019

Cardiff City v West Ham (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

    West Ham United

On facing Cardiff City: "Cardiff are playing at home and will try to add points as they want to try to avoid relegation and they are not many points behind the other teams, so we need to be fast, play with a high tempo and be aggressive.

"I remember my first defeat with Manchester City was at Cardiff when they scored from two corners. Of course I want to change that statistic.

"Now we need to play 95 minutes and concentrate on every ball."

  18. 'For important mistakes and decisive actions, VAR will be a good thing'published at 13:22 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2019

Cardiff City v West Ham (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

    West Ham United

On VAR: "I think VAR will be a good thing and something that will help the referees and make the games be more fair.

"We need to find when and how many times we are going to use it. If you have a goal three metres offside, a handball or an offence outside the penalty area, that will be useful, but we don't three-minute reviews for one centimetre offside.

"For important mistakes and decisive actions, VAR will be a good thing."

  19. 'Atmosphere at the London Stadium was not good'published at 13:18 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2019

Cardiff City v West Ham (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

    West Ham United

On the contrast between his team's home and away form: "We have to play four more home games, so our target is not to lose any more points and to stay unbeaten, then improve the number of points we get away from home, starting at Cardiff on Saturday.

"From the beginning of the season, I always say the same about London Stadium. The atmosphere was not good perhaps because the performances of the team were not good.

"The problem was not that we changed ground, but the problem was that we did not win games."

    Manuel PellegriniImage source, Getty Images
  20. 'Chicharito in a good moment'published at 13:14 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2019

Cardiff City v West Ham (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

    West Ham United

On Chicharito's recent form: "I am pleased with Javier. He is in a good moment and is making good movements in the attacking areas.

"Every striker wants to score more goals but he is contributing well.

On Marko Arnautovic: "We also have Marko coming back, so I think we have options not only in the starting XI but on the bench as well.

"I always say it's more difficult for a manager when he doesn't have players."
