    Macclesfield 0-0 Cambridge

An early goal would surely ease any fears of relegation for Macclesfield, who have performed admirably in the first stages of this match.

Elliott Durrell fires in a lovely ball towards his Silkmen teammate Harry Smith who volleys just over the bar.

    Good stuff from the hosts.

    Swindon 0-0 Notts County

Swindon get their first shot on goal as Theo Robinson works on to Kyle Bennett's delivery before firing narrowly past the near post.

That won't do anything to quell Notts County's nerves.

  3. Postpublished at 15:16 British Summer Time 4 May 2019

    Lincoln 0-0 Colchester

Chances at either end in Lincolnshire.

First Imps keeper Josh Vickers is equal to Mikael Mandron's near post effort, then Mat Read fires off target from range.

    Forest Green 0-0 Exeter

Forest Green have made several changes to their starting XI as they prepare for the play-offs.

Exeter have come close to opening the scoring, with Ryan Bowman forcing Rovers keeper James Montgomery into a save.

The Grecians need to win and hope Newport fail to take all three points to be sure of sealing a top-seven finish themselves.

  5. Postpublished at 15:11 British Summer Time 4 May 2019

    Macclesfield 0-0 Cambridge

A big chance for Cambridge to edge this one in the early stages at the Moss Rose.

Jabo Ibehre beats his marker and works into space in the Macclesfield box to rise high and head Jeavani Brown's cross goalbound, however Kieran O'Hara is on hand to save.

    Nervy times for the Silkmen.

    Swindon 0-0 Notts County

Notts County know they need to force the issue at the County Ground and they've started brightly against Swindon.

They've drawn a number of fouls out of the hosts but so far it's a slow start to proceedings.

The visitors need a win today to have any chance of survival, remember.

    Lincoln 0-0 Colchester

Colchester need to win at the champions and hope Newport and Exeter lose in order to make the play-offs.

The U's have been very eager at the start of the game, with Ryan Jackson already booked for a late challenge on Harry Toffolo within the opening 90 seconds.

He's escaped a second yellow for another tackle on Bruno Andrade in the City half as the hosts were building a counter-attack.

The right-back will have to be careful now. It could be a long afternoon.

    Macclesfield 0-0 Cambridge

Macclesfield have started well at Moss Rose and have had the first chances to try and work something out of this game.

Harry Darling puts in a pair of fine tackles to thwart Harry Smith and Ben Stevens as the Silkmen attack.

A point should be good enough to keep them in the EFL at the expense of Notts County.

A dream start for the hosts, who take the lead from a corner within two minutes.

David Wheeler gets free of his man to head home Dean Lewington's corner.

If the Dons can hold on, they'll seal an immediate return to League One. Mansfield would have to settle for the play-offs.

"The whole season comes down to this game."

That soundbite from MK Dons boss Paul Tisdale tells you everything you need to know about the game at Stadium MK.

The home side have to win to go up to League One, a draw would be enough for Mansfield courtesy of a far superior goal difference.

Rob Stevens will be keeping a very close eye on proceedings in Buckinghamshire.

  16. The great escape?published at 14:48

Macclesfield v Cambridge United (15:00 BST)

    Sol CampbellImage source, Rex Features

Cast your mind back to October.

Macclesfield had no wins, had taken just four points from their opening 13 matches and equalled an English league record of 36 consecutive games without a victory.

They were languishing at the bottom of League Two. But since Sol Campbell entered the fray in November, Macc have seen an upturn in fortune and now know a point against Cambridge should be enough to keep them in the EFL.

Former England defender Campbell may be smiling, but there is still plenty of hard work to do over the next couple of hours...

  17. Notts County facing the droppublished at 14:45 British Summer Time 4 May 2019

Swindon Town v Notts County (15:00 BST)

    Neal ArdleyImage source, Rex Features

The world's oldest professional football team could be playing outside of the top four divisions for the first time in their 157-year history come 17:00 BST.

Founded in 1862, Notts County were one of the original Football League members in 1888.

But just nine wins in their 45 League Two matches this campaign means they are two points behind Macclesfield heading into the final day.

It could end a terrible season for Magpies fans both on and off the field.

Last month owner Alan Hardy says he had accepted an offer to sell the club which faces a winding-up order in the High Court in June over an unpaid tax bill.

Manager Neal Ardley, who has won six of his 28 games in charge since taking over in November after Kevin Nolan, and then Harry Kewell, both left the role, says he wants to stay in charge next season no matter what league the club are in.

"I want to be a part of this club for sure. From my own point of view, Saturday is my first goal to get over," the 46-year-old said.

  18. League Two promotion racepublished at 14:42 British Summer Time 4 May 2019

Top of League TwoImage source, .

Champions Lincoln City and Bury are already assured of promotion to League One next season, while Mansfield travel to MK Dons in a showdown for third place.

Forest Green Rovers and Tranmere Rovers are guaranteed a play-off place, but the final spot could be taken by any one of five teams.

Newport County are in the driving seat - a win at Morecambe and they are in the top seven. A draw would be enough if Exeter City fail to win at Forest Green, while if they lose they open it up for everyone else.

Exeter City would take the final place if they win and Newport do not, or if they draw and Newport lose, provided the three teams below do not win by enough to overhaul their goal difference.

For Colchester, Carlisle or Stevenage to have a chance, Newport must lose at the very least.

If they do then Exeter must not win and each of the three sides would have to win and overcome the goal difference advantage Exeter have on them.

Bottom of League TwoImage source, .

With Yeovil Town already down it is a straight fight between Notts County and Macclesfield Town to decide who joins them in the National League next season.

County know they must win away at mid-table Swindon Town and hope Macclesfield do not pick up a point at home to fellow strugglers Cambridge United.

County would have to win by eight goals if Macclesfield did draw with Cambridge, but as they have only scored 47 in 45 games, that possibility seems rather remote...
