  3. McInnes seeks 'controlled performance'published at 19:45 British Summer Time 3 April 2019

    Aberdeen v Motherwell (19:45)

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes tells Sportsound: "I’ve been impressed with Motherwell in terms of the energy they have in the middle of the park. Campbell and Turnbull are a handful. I want to make sure we don’t get over run.

"We’ve got a semi-final coming up and we need to get another midfielder game time with Shinnie being out.

"We’ve only got three home games left in the season so we have to try and take advantage of the opportunity we have tonight. We’re up against a good team. The younger players in their side carry a bit of speed and show a lot of industry in the centre of the park.

"Tonight for us it’s about winning those individual battles but also bring a more completely controlled performance across the 90 minutes."

  4. St Mirren 'will give it a go' - Kearneypublished at 19:43 British Summer Time 3 April 2019

    St Mirren v Celtic (19:45)

St Mirren manager Oran Kearney tells BBC Sportsound that his team will "give it a go" as he explains why he has made six changes from the win over Dundee.

He says: "Tonight Celtic more than likely will have a huge amount of the ball. There will be a huge amount of energy expelled.

"We played last Wednesday, we played Saturday, it works out something like four games in 11 days come Saturday. It’s a case of trying to pick a team with the right amount of energy to deal with a fixture like this tonight.

"Our mind set is to get as much energy on the pitch as possible and give it a go."

  6. Levein eyes three pointspublished at 19:41 British Summer Time 3 April 2019

Rangers v Heart of Midlothian (19:45)

Hearts manager Craig Levein realises Rangers will be smarting from their derby defeat by Celtic.

"I thought they were decent in the game, particularly after they went down to 10 men, and they were a little unfortunate to have lost the game so late on," he said.

"So that in itself can be very sore and it's not an easy place to win.

"But the last time we were at Ibrox this season, I thought we played well and just didn't manage to get what our play deserved.

"I'm hopeful we can put on a good show and pick up all three points."

  7. Tierney reports untrue, Boyata to miss rest of the season - Lennonpublished at 19:40 British Summer Time 3 April 2019

    St Mirren v Celtic (19:45)

Reports this morning suggested Kieran Tierney would not be fit for Scotland's double-header with Cyprus and Belgium in June, but Celtic manager Neil Lennon has rubbished those claims.

"I don't know where that's come from," he tells BBC Scotland. "In terms of playing again this season, he's definitely going to play again. I don't know where these stories have come from. He'll be fit for the weekend.

"Kieran is fine. Dedryck Boyata is out for the season. He may - if we're lucky enough - make the (Scottish Cup) final."

Lennon has made four changes from the weekend win over Rangers.

"Emotionally and physically it was quite draining, so that explains the changes," he says of Sunday's Old Firm derby win. "There's no complacency at the moment, we need nine points to get over the line."

  8. Livi & Accies look for a responsepublished at 19:37 British Summer Time 3 April 2019

    Livingston v Hamilton (19:45)

These two have scored twice in three games this season, with each side managing a 1-0 home victory after a League Cup stalemate back in July.

Accies have managed just seven goals on the road in this campaign and have conceded 37 - the worst record in the table on both counts.

But surely we will see some kind of reaction to Saturday's sorry 5-0 loss at Rugby Park?

They lost by the same score at home to Rangers in late February and followed that with a 2-0 win at Aberdeen.

Livi have won nine at home this season, the same as third-placed Kilmarnock, but were stung by Hibs on their own plastic patch on Friday.

  9. Rangers enjoy upper hand against Heartspublished at 19:36 British Summer Time 3 April 2019

    Rangers v Hearts (19:45)

Rangers are looking for a sixth successive victory over Hearts but Steven Gerrard's side are on a run of five games without a win in all competitions and are without suspended top-scorer Alfredo Morelos following the striker's latest red card in Sunday's loss to Celtic.

Hearts were top of the league and unbeaten in their opening seven matches when Rangers rolled them over with three first-half goals back in September.

Craig Levein's side have won just two of their past seven in the Premiership but are right back in the race for third place after coming from behind to beat Aberdeen at Tynecastle on Saturday.

  10. Another high score on the cards?published at 19:34 British Summer Time 3 April 2019

    Hibernian v Kilmarnock (19:45)

The last two meetings between these sides at Easter Road have served up 13 goals, with Hibs prevailing 3-2 in September and 5-3 in the closing straight of last season.

Will we get another thriller tonight?

Both sets of players will be in confident mood, with the hosts unbeaten in six league outings since manager Paul Heckingbottom took over and Kilmarnock moving up to third place after hammering five past Hamilton on Saturday.

  11. Buddies take heart from Celtic blankpublished at 19:32 British Summer Time 3 April 2019

    St Mirren v Celtic (19:45)

Manager Oran Kearney got his St Mirren career off to a promising start with a 0-0 draw at home to Celtic in mid-September.

In his 26 Premiership games since, the Buddies boss has picked up just 16 more points, leaving the Paisley side mired in a tense battle against relegation.

Celtic swept to a 4-0 win when the teams met in Glasgow in January, with on-loan Oliver Burke getting off the mark with a brace.

  12. Home comfort deserts Aberdeenpublished at 19:30 British Summer Time 3 April 2019

    Aberdeen v Motherwell (19:45)

Aberdeen are without a win in six Premiership games at Pittodrie, which is a remarkable dip in form for a side that lost just four home league games in each of the past two seasons.

The Dons dropped to fourth place after Saturday's 2-1 loss at Tynecastle, a first away defeat in 10.

On the other hand, Motherwell are going great guns at home with five straight victories but have picked up just one point from their last three away days.

The Steelmen need a win tonight, coupled with a Hibs defeat, to keep faint hopes of a top six place alive.

    Livingston v Hamilton Accies

    Kenny Crawford

Just been speaking to Livingston manager Gary Holt about Craig Halkett’s pre-contract signing with Hearts.

Holt says he's delighted for his skipper and how he and others at the club advised the defender that the move to Tynecastle was a great one for career progression.

The Livi boss added that one of the most distraught about the move was Holt’s own teenage son.

  14. Motherwell 'not going to change a lot'published at 19:25 British Summer Time 3 April 2019

    Aberdeen v Motherwell (19:45)

Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson knows his team need to win their next two games and they also need Hibs to lose two in a row to make the top six. It certainly looks like a tall order.

“We’ve got to win the game," he tells BBC Sportsound. "We can’t control anything outwith the game this evening. We have make sure we do our part and go into Sunday's game against Rangers with a chance to get into the top six.

"We’re not going to change a lot. We’ve been very successful with what we’ve done since the turn of the year and we’ll continue to do that.

"We’ll press with a real intensity and take the game to Aberdeen. We’re confident we’ve got boys that can win against Aberdeen."

  15. Dundee dump four, Saints make two changespublished at 19:23 British Summer Time 3 April 2019

    St Johnstone v Dundee (19:45)

Dundee's situation is desperate at the bottom of the table and manager Jim McIntyre has wielded the axe to try to halt a run of five straight defeats.

Out go four players from the weekend loss at fellow strugglers St Mirren, with Genseric Kusunga, Craig Curran, Scott Wright and Andrew Nelson all dropping to the bench. Their places in the starting line-up are taken by Darren O'Dea, Paul McGowan, Jesse Curran and Kenny Miller.

St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright had promised to make changes after last Saturday's 3-0 loss at Motherwell, but he gives most of that line-up a second chance tonight. Only Murray Davidson and Sean Goss make way, with Ross Callachan and Callum Hendry stepping up for a start.

Saints' season has fizzled out after a miserable couple of months, losing eight of their past 10 in the Premiership. Will a local derby stir the hosts from their collective inertia?

  16. Ten changes combined for Saints and Celticpublished at 19:20 British Summer Time 3 April 2019

    St Mirren v Celtic (19:45)

St Mirren ring the changes despite a 2-1 win over Dundee at the weekend, with no less than six players coming in.

Manager Oran Kearney explained that with four games in 12 days he would have to use the squad.

Out go Gary MacKenzie, Ryan Flynn, Brad Lyons, Anders Dreyer, Danny Mullen and Paul McGinn.

In come Anton Ferdinand, Laurentiu Corbu, Cameron MacPherson, James Kellerman, Stephen McGinn and Cody Cooke.

Neil Lennon also freshens up his team from Sunday's Old Firm game.

Jonny Hayes, who took a head knock in that game, Kieran Tierney and Dedryck Boyata do not make the squad, while Odsonne Edouard is on the bench.

Jozo Simunovic, Emilio Izaguirre, Tomothy Weah and Oliver Burke are the replacements.

  17. 'So enjoyable' at Ibrox - Kentpublished at 19:17 British Summer Time 3 April 2019

Rangers v Heart of Midlothian (19:45)

Rangers winger Ryan Kent has been speaking to Rangers TV but noticeably avoided saying anything about the Scottish FA charge hanging over him after Sunday's clash with Celtic's Scott Brown.

"I've been made really welcome and I just feel I fit into this team and I've bought into the philosophies and style of play that Steven Gerrard's tried to put into the team," he says.

"Especially with the Europa League spell in the first half of the season, it's been so enjoyable and we had a lot of good times.

"We are looking to see the season off in as good a style as we can."

  18. Halkett back for Livipublished at 19:14 British Summer Time 3 April 2019

    Livingston v Hamilton Academical (19:45)

Livingston welcome back skipper Craig Halkett from injury and there are starting places for Rickie Lamie and striker Ryan Hardie.

Angola striker Dolly Menga is on the bench, returning to the Lions' squad for the first time since February after recovering from a hamstring complaint.

Hamilton make four changes after Saturday's 5-0 drubbing at Rugby Park, with Scott McMann, Delphin Tshiembe, David McMillan and 17-year-old Reegan Mimnaugh coming in.

  19. Accies' apology to fanspublished at 19:11 British Summer Time 3 April 2019

    Livingston v Hamilton Academical (19:45)

Goalkeeper Gary Woods has apologised to Hamilton Accies fans for what he described as their "unacceptable" 5-0 hammering by Kilmarnock.

"I think that's the worst one for us since I have been here," said Woods, who joined Accies in 2016. "We never turned up, we were never in the game at any point.

"I don't even think we had a shot on target in the game, which is not us since this new manager has come in."

Woods has understandably promised better tonight.

  20. Slivka in for Hibs, Jones back for Killiepublished at 19:06 British Summer Time 3 April 2019

    Hibernian v Kilmarnock (19:45)

Hibs make a change in defence following Friday's 2-1 win at Livingston as Mark Milligan drops back from his usual midfield beat and Darren McGregor is demoted to the bench. It means Vykintas Slivka steps back into the middle of the park.

On-loan midfielder Ryan Gauld is still not involved as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury.

Kilmarnock winger Jordan Jones has recovered from a shoulder complaint and he takes the starting place of Kris Boyd

Midfielder Alan Power is fit after a foot problem but can only find a place on the bench after the Ayrshire side hammered Hamilton at the weekend.
