Ryan Flint: Sane being benched AGAIN?! Foden is good but Sane has scored in nearly every match he’s started. Pep needs to be careful as teams amongst the European elite might snap him up!

Noel Fitzpatrick: Going to go all zen here...It's not about the destination, but the journey so whatever happens tonight, thanks Jurgen and co for a rollercoaster ride this season. Now come on Leicester!

Some early screams of surprise at the Etihad Stadium... from a few of the Leicester players who were checking out the pitch when a rogue sprinkler suddenly burst into life and got them running for cover, to the amusement of their team-mates.

I'm sure they will be better prepared for whatever City can throw at them once the game gets started.

If Jamie Vardy takes points off City tonight I can assure him one hell of a party in Liverpool.

    Ed, Wirral

Can't see Manchester City slipping up today, as a Liverpool fan I am praying for one, but just can't see it. Whatever happens it's been a great effort from both teams, not the twist and turns to make it truly exciting but in turns for quality from the top 2, it's been the greatest race for the title

Nice and easy team news, as there's only one combined change from both sides. Phil Foden starts for Manchester City instead of Leroy Sane. Former Leicester favourite Riyad Mahrez is on the bench.

Leicester are unchanged from the team which beat Arsenal.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says that the Premier League "is the toughest league" to compete in as he bids to win back-to-back titles.

Guardiola has won multiple league titles in Spain and Germany as a manager and will add a second Premier League title if City beat Leicesterand Brighton next Sunday.

"For the quality from rivals, no doubts it's the toughest," he said.

"That's why being there [top] is incredible."

One by one, Manchester City have cleared the hurdles put in their way by the fixture list, and in doing so have left Liverpool lurching in a weekly cycle of hope and disappointment.

With all due respect to Manchester City's final day opponents Brighton, this is surely Klopp & co's last hope.

Leicester have all the ingredients Liverpool could hope for. A former Reds manager (in Brendan Rodgers) - who was pipped to the title five seasons ago by City, an in-form Jamie Vardy playing in a team full of confidence, and a side who have already beaten Guardiola's men once this season.

But this is Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. City - relentless, remorselessly patient, with almost infinite invention and only the most negligible faults.

Stranger things have happened in football, of course - but not too many.

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers says "with my heart, I'd always be" at Celtic despite quitting the Scottish champions in February.

Rodgers guided his boyhood club to seven trophies over his two-and-a-half years as manager.

Celtic clinched their eighth Scottish Premiership title on Saturday under Neil Lennon, who has been interim manager since Rodgers' departure.

"The times that we had there were amazing," he told Leicester City TV.

"With my heart, I would always be there because - no matter where I have been in my life - I always look for the Celtic result and that's in you from when you are young.

"But there comes a time in your life that maybe the professional challenge means you have to look elsewhere.

"But that doesn't change who I support. I will always support Celtic."

JP: To be honest, Liverpool lost the PL when they surrendered a eight-point lead to Man City; a draw too many. Pep and the men in blue are seasoned league champions. I just don't see ManCity pulling off a 2013-14 Liverpool. Hope @LCFC, external can prove me wrong tonight.

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers: "What we are trying to develop here is a style not too dissimilar to Man City. When you haven't got the ball, there is a real intent and hunger to get it back, and when you have got the ball you ask as many questions as you can.

"You have to work very hard, and in those moments when you break through the pressure you have to make the most of it, and that's what we will hope to do."

This is Manchester City’s final home game of the season and boss Pep Guardiola uses his programme notes to thank his side’s fans for their “unconditional support” here over the past nine months, and rally them for one last effort at the Etihad Stadium tonight.

Pep writes: “We have needed you in the last few weeks, especially after the Champions League loss. The way the you backed us here that night against Tottenham and in the following Premier League games against the same opposition, then United and Burnley, helped the players a great deal.

“Now we ask you one more time to help us fight until the end."
