Everton 2-0 Burnley

Everton 2-0 Burnley
Should be three! Burnley give the ball away cheaply, Theo Walcott is in on goal, Tom Heaton saves his weak shot and then Ademola Lookman serves up an equally weak one. Two slices don't make a right.
Everton 2-0 Burnley
Dominic Calvert-Lewin gets through so much work up front for Everton. It's hard to think of a striker who Everton could afford or who would come who could do that job better. A summer head scratcher for Marco Silva.
Phil Jagielka gets a run out for the last few minutes. Final appearance at Goodison?
Everton 2-0 Burnley
Strike! Ademola Lookman comes to life, he has three Burnley defenders in his face but gets away from them all, spinning on to his left foot and then absolutely lashing a shot against the crossbar and away!
Everton 2-0 Burnley
Ademola Lookman has been quiet since coming on but that's nice feet, opens up a yard of space and then clips a cross in which is just ahead of Gylfi Sigurdsson.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin then scuffs a shot from 20 yards straight at Tom Heaton.
Everton 2-0 Burnley
Wrong option! Gylfi Sigurdsson unlocks the Burnley defence with a clever touch, Seamus Coleman gallops into the area and should square it low and hard but tries to clip a cross in - Tom Heaton is able to easily hold on.
Everton 2-0 Burnley
Bouncing ball, James Tarkowski steps across DCL and checks his run. No penalty there lad. Bit of a sleepwalk to the finish here.
Everton 2-0 Burnley
Robbie Brady has had his injury problems this season and he rather limps off, with fellow Irish international Jef Hendrick on in his place. James Tarkowski goes into the book for clattering Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Everton 2-0 Burnley
Matej Vydra has only scored once in the Premier League all season but he's made a bit of a difference since coming on. Sharp and lively. Waspish.
Everton would have been looking to bury this game at half time but they haven't clicked into top gear. Burnley are much improved without ever really hurting Jordan Pickford and co.

What a joke of a ref. Stonewall penalty.
Paul, errrr, Burnley
Everton 2-0 Burnley
Everton got away with that one. Sean Dyche doesn't like to mention the fact that Burnley don't get many penalties, watch this space later on for some exclusive quotes.

Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra
Michael Keane got so close, the officials have a good view of that and it's a two-handed shove. That's a penalty.
Everton 2-0 Burnley
Into the last 15 minutes then. What a touch that is! Matej Vydra chases a punt into the channel with a brilliant backheeled flick over his own head, he's beyond Michael Keane and goes down.
Penalty? Chris Kavanagh says no and having seen that again that looks like a definite pen to me...
Everton 2-0 Burnley
Ashley Barnes hasn't had one of his better days, he's replaced by Matej Vydra who has not had one of his better seasons.
Ademola Lookman is on as well for the hosts, replacing Bernard. Who gets a virtual round of applause from me.
Everton 2-0 Burnley
Ademola Lookman is warming up for Everton, Peter Crouch for Burnley. Polar opposites in a lot of ways. Can either man come on and turn the game?
Everton 2-0 Burnley
Dwight McNeil, who has impressed me no end this season, is on for Burnley in place of Johann Gudmundsson. Who, in the interests of balance, was a very good signing for me on Football Manager a few years back.
Everton 2-0 Burnley
James Tarkowski has actually made 11 clearances in this game. The next best is Michael Keane with seven.
Schooled by Dyche.
Everton 2-0 Burnley
Lucas Digne and then Gylfi Sigurdsson swap dangerous crosses into the Burnley goalmouth. James Tarkowski reminds Gareth Southgate up in the stands that he's as good as most at clearing away balls in the six-yard box. In case England get drawn against Millwall in the Nations League or something.
Everton 2-0 Burnley
Ahhh, lovely football from Everton as Idrissa Gueye makes the third-man run down the left, he has a wealth of options in the middle but cuts it back to Dominic Calvert-Lewin lurking outside the area - he can only sidefoot it well over the top though. Holds his head in his hands. Knows he should have worked Tom Heaton.
Everton 2-0 Burnley
Burnley should be out of this but they'e really not. That's very nearly a goal back as another teasing cross from the left causes Kurt Zouma problems and Johann Gudmundsson can only knee/thigh the ball over the bar.
