It is really tense inside St James’ Park now. The Newcastle fans are hoping the home side can find a winning goal, while the Liverpool supporters up in the highest tier are desperate for an away goal. Losing Mo Salah is a major blow. You can understand those in red thinking it is not going to be their night with their leading scorer leaving the pitch on a stretcher.

Richard Cumiskey: Fair play to the medical staff. Taking their time and not rushing anything. After what happened with Vertonghen midweek you can't be too careful.

Mohamed Salah is lifted onto a stretcher and gets a standing ovation from Newcastle fans as he is carried off the pitch.

Twenty minutes to go. While Mohamed Salah is getting treatment, I'll let you know the state at the top of the table as things stand.

Liverpool would be behind Manchester City on goal difference. Which means City could afford to drop points in at least one game.

A big City win over Leicester on Monday would mean Liverpool would need a big goal difference swing on the final day and need City to lose to Brighton.

Mohamed Salah is down on the ground after an aerial collision with Toon keeper Martin Dubravka. The referee stops play and the medical staff come on.

It looks quite worrying, but Salah is conscious.

Lindsay O'Regan, Ayr: Better left backs than Robertson, Lawro? Gerry Byrne (with a broken collarbone for 115 minutes), Alec Lindsay (with an incorrectly disallowed FA Cup Final goal), Alan Kennedy (with a European Cup Final winning goal). These were proper footballers. Calm yourself down man.

Newcastle have been genuinely excellent in pockets of this game, a good Isaac Hayden cross finds Christian Atsu, but his header is over the bar.

Georginio Wijnaldum is replaced by Xherdan Shaqiri, who is making only his third substitute appearance since February.

The forgotten man Xherdan Shaqiri is getting ready to come on.

Mr Hartley, Leeds: Liverpool will draw, Man City will lose to Leicester. Last game of the season, goal difference beckons.

Nervy moment (there are quite a few now) as Alisson lets a backpass go beyond him, but he gets away with it.

It's a swing and a miss from Jordan Henderson. Good play by Andy Robertson to get his cross in but the Liverpool captain gives it a total air-kick.

Good play by Newcastle right-back Javier Manquillo, who charges forward. But then he gets his pass forward wrong and Liverpool escape.

Liverpool have been a real threat going forward but have looked vulnerable at the back and that goal was another example - Jurgen Klopp looks very frustrated and St James's Park is rocking.
