Liverpool know the odds are against them today - but they are clutching at any available straw.

One of them is that Brighton boss Chris Hughton is the last manager to beat Manchester City on the final day of the Premier League season, when he was at Norwich.

The teams are warming up in front of me, with Jurgen Klopp staring on.

Wonder what is going through his mind?

Manchester City are too close. Pep Guardiola won't let his players switch off, the players won't switch off. It can be a 1-0 or 4-0, 5-0. I can't see them dropping their guard, they are too good and too professional.

If they hadn’t beaten Newcastle last weekend or Barcelona on Tuesday, it could have been so flat today. But Liverpool fans know even if they don’t do it today, they still have the Champions League final on 1 June.

Anthony Nderitu: This is crazy. There are those thinking City, who have had a free week, will lose to Brighton. While Liverpool, who had a tense game mid week, meet an even more formidable opponent in form of Wolves.

Ian Dinwoodie: St Lucia update - tennis done, ready for the match. Only problem is the bar doesn’t open until kick off at 10am. Come on you Mighty Reds

Wayne Ellis: I’ll be surprised if City don’t have the title wrapped up by half time.

He already has one title-winning moment named after him. Sequel?

He must have slept like a little boy isolated from his family in a clown museum situated in a windy forest.

He can barely keep his eyes open as he yawns away in the Brighton dugout.

All the prep, all the season, comes down to this. Air drumming on the side of his seat now.

You can forgive him it all of course. His side have amassed 95 points and they're still only a Glenn Murray penalty away from finishing second!
