So that's it - Salford are a Football League club!

Back-to-back promotions from regional football to League Two thanks to a lot of money from Singapore, inspiration from the likes of the Neville brothers, David Beckham and Nicky Butt and a side led by manager Graham Alexander.

It's not all over for AFC Fylde - they will back at Wembley next week to take on Leyton Orient in the FA Trophy final.

Can they end their season on a high with victory in their second trip to Wembley next Sunday?

Salford's locally-born skipper Liam Hogan lifts the trophy at Wembley - they are now a League Two club!

Salford City midfielder Danny Whitehead tells BT Sport:

"It's been a tough season, it's required every player and I'm delighted we've got it done.

"The support has been fantastic today and we're a League Two club now.

"It was always in our plans to go into League Two, it's been difficult and maybe we didn't see it via the play-offs, but we're really happy."

Salford City goalscorer Carl Piergianni tells BT Sport:

"It’s an incredible feeling to play here at Wembley and to win like that - there's no better feeling.

"It's four promotions and finally the dream of the club being in the Football League is alive.

"It was only a dream when we first started, so to have done it is an incredible feeling."

The "Class of 92" and billionaire Singaporean business magnate Peter Lim's money has been well spent as Salford become the first team ever to win back-to-back promotions from the sixth tier of English football into the EFL.

After a good early chance, AFC Fylde ended up being well beaten at Wembley and their wait for an EFL will go on.

A 15th-minute goal from Emmanuel Dieseruvwe and two in an eight-minute period after half-time from Carl Piergianni and Ibou Touray mean the Ammies will be in League Two next season.

The Salford fans sing: "If you love Salford stand up" and 5,000 supporters rise to their feet.

In two minutes' time, Salford City will be an English Football League side.

We will have a minimum of four minutes of stoppage time - just 240 seconds until Salford are a Football League club for the first time.

AFC Fylde know the game is up now, the pace has dropped out of this game and Salford are quite content to let them have possession.

It's only a matter of time now before Salford go up.

I think the owners will assess it but they'll go again. It's a tall ask, but you want to be in the mix for promotion.

I think the club can go very far. The team's evolved a lot in the past five years and you do have to do that, but some of these players can play League Two football.

A chance for AFC Fylde - Danny Philliskirk's ball into the box is shot into the side netting by James Hardy.

But again they have not tested Chris Neal in the Salford goal.

Just 10 minutes to go at Wembley, and you have to think that it will take a miracle now for Fylde to get back into this.

Final change for Salford as Emmanuel Dieseruvwe - the scorer of the opening goal - is replaced by Rory Gaffney.

Another header for Carl Piergianni, but this time his header just goes wide of the post after a deflection.

Salford have been the better side this half, but AFC Fylde have created few chances of note.

They need their talisman Danny Rowe to do something - although the National League's top scorer who has 32 goals this season has only found the net twice in his last 10 games.

Final change for the Coasters - Tom Crawford comes on in place of Andy Bond.

Danny Philliskirk's effort for Fylde from the edge of the box takes a slight deflection and goes wide.
