AFC Fylde v Salford (15:00 BST)

AFC Fylde's rise up the non-league pyramid has been just as rapid as Salford City's ascent to the brink of the EFL.

Chairman David Haythornthwaite stated in 2007, when the club was known as Kirkham & Wesham, that he wanted to get them into the Football League within 15 years - an ambitious claim given they were in the 10th tier at the time.

Five promotions, a name change and one new ground later, Fylde are one win away from achieving Haythornthwaite's goal well ahead of schedule.

If either Fylde or Salford are after a good omen... the past six winners of the National League's promotion final have remained in the EFL ever since.

Tranmere and Forest Green, the two most recent victors, are facing each other in the League Two play-offs this season.

They met in the first leg of their semi-final yesterday, with Tranmere winning 1-0 thanks to a spectacular long-range strike from Ollie Banks.

Salford City still had remote hopes of the title on the final day of the season but had to settle for third place in their debut season in the National League.

Graham Alexander's men beat Eastleigh in a penalty shootout last Sunday to get to the promotion final.

AFC Fylde's route to Wembley has been a more roundabout one - a fifth-placed finish meant they needed to beat Harrogate in an eliminator, before winning 1-0 at Solihull in their semi-final.

Dave Challinor's side will be back at the national stadium on 19 May for their FA Trophy final against Leyton Orient.
