With a quarter of this game to go, surely Salford are through.

AFC Fylde need to channel their inner-Liverpool or Tottenham if they are to come back from 3-0 down, although neither of those sides had just over 20 minutes to get the goals like Fylde do.

With Salford all but assured of victory Graham Alexander makes a second change as Mark Shelton comes on for Danny Whitehead.

Manager Dave Challinor makes a second change for AFC Fylde as James Hardy comes in place of Alex Reid.

An attacking change for Salford despite being 2-0 up, as striker Devante Rodney replaces Gus Mafuta.

Carl Piergianni has so often been Salford's hero this season. He scored against Eastleigh in the semi-final and he's done it again at Wembley.

That's goal number 12 this season for the Salford man. Not a bad return for a defender.

So close to a second for Salford.

Scott Wiseman flashed a ball across the face of the goal and Emmanuel Dieseruvwe heads just wide as he got across his marker at the near post - brilliant opportunity to double the lead.

It's strange how Fylde have played in the first 45 minutes. It's as if they just wanted to play a possession game and keep the ball.

You've got to get the ball wide and get people running fast, but it's the tempo for me. It's just too slow.

The atmosphere dropped a little as Fylde ended the half on the front foot.

Plenty of noise from the Salford supporters on the half-time whistle though.

The Ammies are 45 minutes away from becoming a Football League club and being the first side ever to get back-to-back promotions through the National League or the old Conference and into the top 92 sides in the country.

It's a fair scoreline on reflection. Fylde have had some good moments but Salford had the better of the football and were more on the front foot.

Emmanuel Dieseruvwe's 15th-minute goal separates the two sides.

Salford had the best of the early exchanges, Fylde have had their chances too, but have been unable to really test Chris Neal in the Salford goal.

Lovely run by Salford's Scott Wiseman to get to the byline but his pull back is headed away by the Fylde defence.

The fourth official has indicated six minutes of stoppage time - injuries to Fylde's Jordan Tunnicliffe and Luke Burke breaking up the half.

Can either side get a goal before half-time and change the shape of this promotion final?

Fylde substitute Nick Haughton has impressed since coming on.

This time he skips past a couple of players and is brought down on the edge of the Salford box - Danny Rowe eyes up the free kick.....

But it hits the wall.

A shot on the rebound by Haughton is blocked by a Salford defender.

Fylde are really getting control of this game now and it should be 1-1.

Andy Bond plays a neat one-two and then fires the ball over the bar from 10 yards out - he has to hit the target from there.

Another long-range effort from Danny Rowe, and this time Salford keeper Chris Neal does have to get down and save it.

The resulting short corner routine sees a cross go straight out over the far post as Fylde start to get into this game.
