Luke Newman: What I’ve liked about Klopp is that ALL of his signings and players that he has brought through the youth system have performed. How many previous LFC managers can say that, because I remember some shocking signings in the pass

An amazing 24hrs!! Funnily enough my first daughter was born the night Brazil lost 8-0 to Germany in the WC, so I had a hunch a crazy result may crop up with my second due this week. I was hoping it would be Leicester on Monday night but daughter number two didn't arrive until yesterday morning and I had a feeling beating Barcelona and a Champions League final was on the cards instead! Not sure I can knock out another child in time for Sunday though

    John, Tunbridge Wells

Watched the Liverpool match with my lad, as quietly as we could as my daughter had gone to bed ready for GCSEs. Lots of quiet fist pumping and faces of disbelief! Pretty sure we'd win but 4-0? Unbelievable team.

    Liverpool 4-0 barcelona

West Brom had to get a cheeky little mention of that time they drew 2-2 with Liverpool at Anfield back in 2015.

Divock Origi scored the equaliser in the 96th minute that day....

They celebrated that draw in similar fashion to last night's scenes...

  8. 'Where was Messi?'published at 13:12 British Summer Time 8 May 2019

    Liverpool 4-0 Barcelona

    Guillem Balague
Spanish football journalist on BBC Radio 5 live

For three-quarters of the tie, Barcelona were inferior, scared and unable to find answers.

For me, Messi was saying: 'How do I influence the game?' For the last hour, where was he? Not many teams have ever done that to him.

Barcelona had not played a team like that in a long, long time.

Liverpool's Twitter account today is a predictable love-in.

    And why not?

Making history does that to a club.

    Just look at James Milner.

    Liverpool 4-0 Barcelona

    Alan Shearer
Former England captain on BBC Radio 5 Live

Liverpool were too clever, it was just a staggering night.

Divock Origi grew in confidence by getting that first goal. He just had such a spring in his step and he knew he had that backline of Barcelona all over the place.

It was the same with Sadio Mane. Barcelona didn't know whether to drop off or go close.

Keep these brilliant tales coming in.

We could compile them all into a book of short stories. Could call it 'Anfield in Dreamland' or something like that - Denise

My daughter's boyfriend, a keen Liverpool fan, managed to watch the game in the back row of an American Airlines flight from New York to London. Meanwhile, my daughter read a book, pretending not to be with him, due to him attracting unwanted attention from the other passenger every time Liverpool scored!

    Adrian, Watford.

Incredible result...had to be up at 3am to fly out of Gatwick to Spain, 3 hours sleep by the time my heartbeat settled down, hoping to run into a few Barca fans

    Anon

Have an exam today but the studying got put on hold once the early goal went in! Was up at the crack of dawn to revise, not that I slept much last night....! What a performance -

    David, Edinburgh
