Richard S: Liverpool did very well for sure, but most of this came from Barca's terrible play. They allowed balls into the box too easily, gifting a free header for one goal & letting Liverpool pass directly in front of goal for the 4th when they had about 7 players there.

Lukas Lammie: Am I the only one that cried with Milner last night? High emotions and finally it felt like something was going right! I love this club and I love these players! The fight, the determination, the passion! YNWA Reds

Robbie Fowler
Former Liverpool striker
Ex-Liverpool forward Robbie Fowler on BT Sport
When you talk about the great nights, this is the best ever. It's absolutely incredible.
Before the game, we were talking about all the superlatives we have for Messi. We can run out of superlatives for Liverpool. It was deserved as well and that's the best thing about it.
I'm so proud and so delighted to be part of Liverpool. Everything about Liverpool was brilliant.

Tina S: Up at 03.00am to watch from Perth, WA, woke the house up several times, couldn't sleep for over an over after the game finished...had the day off today, but throat is sore as
Gold star for dedication, Tina!

Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson was a man-mountain last night.
he said: "Throughout my career I have always wanted to prove people wrong and that will never change. I quite enjoy it now. I’ve got used to it."
Henderson scored 7.89 in your player ratings, with Wijnaldum topping the pile.

Football can create beautiful moments, whoever you are a fan of.
Here's three different experiences, but all of them can go a long way to explain why people love the game so much....
Was watching the game in a silent hotel away with work and there was only one corner of my room with enough 4G to stream it! I was way shouting way too loudly to be acceptable at 10:30pm but there have been no complaints so far... Just a perfect night for Liverpool, the PL and English football.

My mum is less interested in football than anyone I've ever met. When Owen scored THAT goal in 1998 World Cup, mum was wandering round Asda, confused as to why it was so quiet. Yesterday was her 70th birthday. Thank goodness we had her party on Sunday...

I honestly cannot believe what I saw last night, it's been a tough couple of weeks for me personally and sometimes football doesn't seem so important, but last for 99 minutes ( including stoppage time) I was lost, it was just incredible. Anfield is a truly magical place, no one can deny that. Fans, and players coming together in unison. We truly will never walk alone

Will there be a player exodus in the summer?
BBC Sport's Spanish football writer Andy West has taken a look at what went wrong for Barca last night...and how they move forward.
They have won La Liga this season, after all...so it's not been a complete disaster....

The Silent Scream love that!
Think you mean 'wife' not 'wielfe' don't you, Mike?
We'll let you off though, considering all of the excitement

Ex-Liverpool defender on Radio 5 Live
The crowd were incredible. You always expect Anfield to get behind the team but the atmosphere was just sensational. The team used that inspiration.
I was in the Kop and everyone was just stood there at the end. Nobody knew what to do, they didn’t know whether to leave, they didn’t know whether to sing.
People were sat on the bus not talking – they were in absolute shock.

This will give you goosebumps. Listen to commentary of all last night's goals. Definitely stick around for Alan Shearer’s incredible reaction at full-time.

That's the spirit, Gerard!
How many more Gerards are out there this morning?
Had what was supposed to be a end of season celebration last night with some LFC mates. Ended up losing my voice, staying up to 4.30am watching the match in its entirety again to try and soak it in. Work is hell today, but no regrets!!

Having looked at the player ratings I think the scoring of Shaqiri is harsh. He did so much off the ball in his own half, Klopp must be a genius to be able to get Shaqiri tracking back, blocking off and defending like that!

Those saying Messi disappeared last night can't have actually watched the game? He put Alba 1v1 with a worldy pass. He put Coutinho in 1v1 after picking it up in midfield and driving past 3 players. He put Suarez in 1v1 with another good ball. It's not his fault other players couldn't finish their dinner is it.

Mark Lawrenson
Ex-Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 live
The impossible was achieved. I think it is the greatest ever performance. An away goal from a very talented Barcelona side and Liverpool would have needed five.
Alisson Becker made some fantastic saves – they just got everything right.
Jurgen Klopp said before the game, ‘look this is impossible, but looking round at all of you I think we might actually achieve it.'

Stayed up until 1am watching the game again. Still smiling.
Mark, Edinburgh
Am I the only one on the planet who is NOT surprised by result last night. If anyone was going to do it, it was LFC.

Haseeb: I read that highest decibel levels were recorded during that 2005 semi final at Anfield against Chelsea. Any records of yesterday's noise levels?..... Denise?..... Becky?
We're going to ask the question. The TV cameras were shaking it was that loud, after all....
