I'm a Liverpool fan, my girlfriend and her dad are Spurs fans. It took us less than 10 minutes after end of the game last night to have an argument about just where we're watching the game! Possibly at different pubs?

  8. What happens if English teams win the Champions League AND Europa League?published at 09:02 British Summer Time 9 May 2019

There can be a maximum of five teams from one country in the Champions League. So that causes a bit of a mess if English teams win both European competitions - and neither finishes in the top four.

However that can no longer happen, with Liverpool and Chelsea guaranteed top-four spots - and Tottenham and Arsenal battling for another.

Were it to happen in a future season, the Premier League's fourth-placed team would not qualify for the Champions League and instead would drop into the Europa League group stages.

It has to be Liverpool for best come back ever. Spurs conceded 2 goals on the night. Liverpool kept a clean sheet on a knife edge for the whole match. That's surely more of an achievement???!!

Debates beginning to rage up and down the country - which comeback was better Liverpool or Spurs? Liverpool for me... has to be for making Barca look like schoolboys. Either way, what a week to even be having the conversation!

When was the last time all finalists for the European trophies were English? If arsenal and Chelsea make it through, we can definitely say we've cemented ourself as the home of the best leagues in the world

  12. Ajax's European adventure ends in agonypublished at 08:49 British Summer Time 9 May 2019

    Ajax 2-3 Tottenham

Ajax have been a joy to watch throughout this incredible European campaign, which started all the way back on 25 July in the second qualifying round against Austrian side Sturm Graz.

They have won a legion of new fans during their march through the rounds, which has included impressive wins over holders Real Madrid and Juventus.

Yet the four-time champions of Europe will need some time to recover after being denied a first appearance in the final since 1996 in the dying moments.

Boasting a three-goal aggregate advantage at half-time, their fans were in party mood before Tottenham's amazing comeback.

De Ligt's early header from a corner after Hugo Lloris had denied Tadic was followed by Ziyech's clever finish and left Spurs with a mountain to climb.

Little did they know what was to come as the visitors, inspired by the exceptional Moura, produced an epic turnaround.

  14. What happens if an English team win the Europa League?published at 08:35 British Summer Time 9 May 2019

Arsenal and Chelsea are both in the Europa League semi-finals and are among the favourites to lift the trophy in Baku. If either of them win the tournament, they will qualify for next season's Champions League group stages.

If the winners finish outside the top four in the Premier League, it will mean five English teams will be in the Champions League.

However if they do finish in the top four, then England will not get an extra spot. The team who finish third in the fifth-ranked league - France - will go into the Champions League group stages instead of the qualifiers.

There is no Champions League spot for the beaten finalists.

  16. What happens if an English team win the Champions League?published at 08:28 British Summer Time 9 May 2019

Because either Spurs and Liverpool will become European champions, only four English teams go into next season's Champions League - provided Spurs also finish in the top four.

The 'extra' group stage spot would go to the Austrian champions, who otherwise need to go through qualifying as Uefa's 11th-ranked league.

However, if an English team win the Champions League and finish outside the Premier League's top four - a possibility for Spurs - then five English teams will go into next season's group stage.

There is no Champions League spot for the beaten finalists. Liverpool would not have qualified this year had they not finished in the 2017-18 top four.

Uefa changed the rules for qualification last year - starting with this season's tournaments.

In 2012 Tottenham finished fourth but missed out because Chelsea won the Champions League - but Spurs would have qualified under the current rules.

Until 2005, Champions League winners did not qualify automatically - a rule which was changed when Liverpool won the tournament but did not finish in the top four.

CarthOhNoes: If we have an all English CL final and an all English EL final, would that effect the top 4 in terms of champions league positions? What would happen if Arsenal won the EL and finished 5th?

    Ajax 2-3 Tottenham

In the end, it was all too much for Mauricio Pochettino.

Having seen his Tottenham side stage a remarkable fightback from 3-0 down on aggregate away to Ajax to reach a first Champions League final, the Argentine could not contain his emotions.

BBC Sport looks at how the Spurs boss and others reacted on an astonishing night in Amsterdam for the north London club.

    Here's how Poch reacted.
